Very fun place to go to with young kids. There are 3 floors of great knowledge and learning.

It s about 3-4 hours if you walk around and only look at everything, reading the signs about the exhibits will make the time much longer, maybe a multi day visit.

Overall the place was nice and clean, and staff was very friendly. They even asked if we saw everything and pointed us to what we missed. A tip is to park in the structure to the north of the museum as it s nice and easy to get in and out of. Would definitely go again.

Great experience. Very informative on life itself and the evolution of life. Old world of Wisconsin experience was awesome and definitely will want to see again. Love seeing how life has evolved and all the awesome things that were made and done in the past. The new exhibit Mandela: The Official Exhibition was extremely eye opening on his determination to better life for his fellow people and people to come and how he was willing to sacrifice his own life and freedom for what he believed was truly the right thing.

Five stars for the nostalgia. My kids love it, and I still enjoy coming here. I've probably been to this museum at least a hundred times, most of those visits back when I was in college and every Monday was a free day. Old Milwaukee and the European village are favorites, as well as the top floor with the different Asian and African cultural displays.

I have loved coming here since I was a kid! It's so hard to choose my favorite part. I come to visit about every five years or so. The dinosaurs, rainforest, and streets of old Milwaukee are great for kids (and big kids) while the third floor displays are so detailed and fun to explore. This museum is always like I'm stepping back in time to when I was a third grader and came the first time, but is still so well maintained! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Milwaukee area. If visiting during covid, masks and distancing are required (and followed by pretty much everyone).

Had to order tickets in advance to control the number of people in the building which was nice! Staff monitored to make sure everyone was wearing a mask! Our son had so much fun! Great exhibits for everyone!!!

INCREDIBLE! great for kids and adults alike. You can easily spend 4-5 hours here. The staff was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. I visited in July of 2021 and they had the Nelson Mandela exhibit (running for a limited time). Fee is $22 for adults with discounts for students, kids and seniors.
As of July 2021, there are no places inside to purchase food or drinks from except on vending machine with very little choices (no water). You may want to bring your own. They have dedicated areas for eating and drinking. YOU NEED TO VISIT THIS PLACE, photos don't do it justice.
