We've experienced water main breaks in our neighborhood twice in the last few years. It's a really terrible feeling to wake up for work and have no water to shower, get ready, etc. Both times, Milwaukee Public Works was on top of it! Of course both times were overnight, but their crews responded very quickly and worked their butts off to restore service to the neighborhood as quickly as possible. You guys don't get kudos enough! Thank you!

They respond right away most of the time. Can not complain. There are limits to what can be done, overall when I compare Milwaukee to other cities of this size I would have to say they do a great job. City services and roads correlate to tax base you choose what you can afford. There is nothing wrong with having an option for lower taxes in some areas.
This city and dept needs SUED!!! Who are these people to dictate the policies of independent companies? Who appointed these people to police what citizens believe, think, feel, or follow?
The dept head should be FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!

I end up getting redirected in a circle because nobody can understand my concern, the organization is as inefficient as can be. We have to go through them for parking conerns, and they are far from helpful.
I just want to thank the City of Milwaukee for turning our water back on after repairs. In spite of some other plumbing company who tricked us out of 75 dollars, you guys came right on time I know taxpayers hate your guts, but sometimes a couple of compliments won't hurt either. So thank you!
They claimed I hit a wrong number when entering my account number and decided to charge me with a $35 bounce fee even though the payment was made IN FULL the next day. WOW they charge you to make a payment online then they charge you a $35 late charge for less than 24 hours payment.
I have great service from them. Actually sometimes amazing.
for the amount of tickets that are given out during the snow days. you would think they would do a better job at cleaning the actual snow. for a city that gets snow every year and still can't figure out how to clean it I don't understand.
TERRIBLE snow removal. Over 300 employees and the downtown streets still look like garbage the day after the storm. An old man with a plow attached to his pickup truck could do a better job. I would rate you all 0 stars if I could. Even when you park on the department-dictated side of the street during snow removal, they push the snow to the side where everyone has parked rather than the side where no one has parked. Either do a better job hiring, a better job training, or a better job overall, because right now I can tell you from experience that the snow removal in any other midwest city is 300x better.
Get rid of city plow drivers give to smaller company's who need the . Plus I'm sure they will do a Better job at that. Waste of tax payers money
Bad snow removal for past two years with dpw in charge. They dont understand what snow is and dont care as they tear through the streets in big trucks
Its 4:30pm and our block has NOT BEEN TOUCHED DPW is ridiculous got the nerves to issue out tickets for people not obeying regulations WHAT ARE THE REGULATIONS FOR CLEANING THE STREETS ...PLOWING?!?!?
