My favourite library closer to where I live lovely place staff are lovely too nice to meet them say hello make new friends look around relax chill out enjoy myself eat and drink use computers
A wide selection of books. Friendly Staff. Comfy environment & convenient self service facilities.
The library staff are polite and helpful. The library itself is relatively well stocked and well run, however it is extremely loud. I'm not bothered by quiet chatter, but teenagers and children have loud conversations and sometimes shout to one another. The library staff don't tell them to keep it down. If you want a quiet place to work/study, this isn't it. There is also sometimes rubbish left over, from the groups of teenagers that frequent the library to socialise and eat McDonalds.
Great selection of books. The staff really need to do something though about the constant ignorance of users jabbering away on their phones.
Also you can normally see something that needs to be seen to be believed. This normally involves drunk homeless men falling off the chair or arguing with someone outside.
Cosy, friendly, Lots of books and Magazins, eBooks etc. All for free!
the library is amazing i go there to do homework and revison for my exams which is useful for when i need a computer and i love taking books out to read about different cultures which is great. im going to the library tonight to do more revision for my exams next week and ill be in the library in the school holidays to do revison for my english and thats why it is a good place for quit
Lovely staff in the adult library but rude, obnoxious young woman working in the children's library. Wouldn't go again because of her. She almost reduced me to tears.
very good and nice quiet environment but not a enough seating for peak times
OK place to study for my professional exams. Plenty of desk space and plug points. But Wi-fi on bottom floor is absolutely shocking... Doesn't cost much to install a few more wireless routers in the building or upgrade the speeds. You're better off using your mobile phone hotspot for better speed but I'm on Vodafone so I can't even get decent speed with that so I am screwed.
Great selection of books, something available for all interests.
Extremely slow internet, makes dialup look like fibre optics.
Milton Keynes Council claims it wants to become the greenest authority in the country. Perhaps it could start by setting an example and turning off its own excess of lighting !
Lovely Staff here. Tom was a great help with coping my 100+ pages.
He made my job easy.
Thoroughly professional team around .
Huge selection of books, reasonable selection of other media, spacious and quiet building, great staff. Worth going to just to see the huge painting in the stairwell. The best library I've been to.
Sometimes there is a toilet, sometimes there isn't. Really the only downside I can think of.
There's a good range of books. The only downside is that being a resident of the neighbouring authority you have to get the card set up correctly and you can't pay a fine off if it belongs to a different authority but this then debars you from every library!
