I have not had the best of experiences with Milford hospital in the past, but last night the amount of pain I had been experiencing was unbearable, so I risked it. I didn t wait long in the waiting room, was checked in pretty quickly and was approached quickly by my nurse. Michael M was incredibly nice and made me feel at ease, which was much appreciated since my husband couldn t come in with me due to Covid. He was calm, joked with me to get my mind off the pain and was very attentive. Thank you Michael M for making this my first positive experience at Milford hospital. :)

I had a REALLY bad experience with This hospital, my son has severe allergic reaction to Eggs, he gets anaphylaxis.. he ate ice cream that contains eggs and started having a severe allergic reaction, so I gave him benadryl & took him to the hospital when the symptoms started. We were in the waiting area to get him a room for about 40 mins and my son started vomiting and they didn t care. After getting mad at the they gave us a room and we waited over 2 hrs and no one even took the time to go see my son. We literally walked out of the hospital and took my son to Yale Childrens hospital where they gave him a room right away and treated his VERY SEVERE ALLERGY. Milford hospital would of let him die first!

I had to bring a friend in who had just fallen. The hospital is very efficient, no wait time in ER, they brought wheelchair out to car for patient, timely tests were taken, staff is courteous, explain procedures, kept us informed. Excellent care.

Nurses and everyone were very nice and helpful. Front desk was nice except for Joan Havick. She was very rude. She was about to clock out when we walked in, she slammed her hands down on the desk and we told her we knew where we had to go, she says well then just go in a very disrespectful nasty way. If someone is going to act like that at the front desk maybe she shouldn t be working here.

My grandparents had been happily married over 60yrs, but my grandfather's health had been on the decline over the past year and he passed yesterday evening in the care of this hospital. My grandmother, naturally, is absolutely beside herself right now as these things are never easy, but the callous and unsympathetic care in his final days by a a particular doctor took this sorrow to new heights. After one doctor confirmed with my grandfather that he didn't want a DNR last week, another doctor re-approached the topic a day later. After my grandfather and grandmother both confirmed that his wishes were not to have a DNR, this doctor continued to pressure them as well as multiple family members over the course of the next several days. She even went so far as to try to explain to my grandmother how to get around not having a DNR, should she wish to. This was said in front of my grandfather, who was awake and lucid, as if he wasn't there listening. They were so distraught by this that my grandfather refused to speak to anyone the rest of the day. He passed barely 3 hours after my grandmother left his side that day. This is not a hospital I would recommend for end of life care.

Wait times for everything were outrageous. The hospital was mostly empty and not busy so I don't understand why does it take so long to get an x- ray complete I was just left in the room for long periods of time waiting for staff. The only good thing I can say is I received pain medication quick at the beginning after that it was just waiting and waiting. Unbelievable how long it took me to leave the hospital especially since it was so empty. There is no excuse.

I m just appalled with how absolutely downhill this place is going. Let s start with the fact that I have been to the ER several times with my father, mother, and once for my husband. Forget ever getting any answers, you try to call a nurse or doctor in to help you or fill you in on your loved ones condition and no one comes in the room! When I was there with my husband a couple of months ago they put him on a stretcher and left him in the hallway. They did an EKG and then nothing!! We sat there for TWO HOURS waiting for someone to tell us something, anything. I had to approach a nurse myself and find out why no one had come to see my husband and then finally a PA came to check on him. Then a few weeks ago my DIABETIC mother went there because she was feeling the effects of a very bad infection in her leg. They gave her antibiotics and just sent her on her way! The next day she was in la la land because of the infection (which turned out to be sepsis) and Milford hospital refused to take her! She was sent to Bridgeport hospital, probably for the better! Now yesterday she went to a routine wound care visit and they sent her to Milford hospital ER. She s a diabetic, she hadn t eaten since 9:00 am. She went to the ER at 12:30 pm and asked to be given a meal. They didn t bring her food till 7:30 pm!!! That s unacceptable and totally neglectful! I will be taking this up with patient care services!!

The staff is always ready to help you when you need it! My doctor who I saw, Doctor Erik Baish was superior and very friendly! Had a very pleasant experience on November 16 2020! I highly recommend!
