I love this place so much and help me in ways I never knew about myself. I've been going to Midtown Stars since I started back in 2010 and I'm still continuing going there. I thanks you guys helping me to understand myself, work on myself etc because not only I want myself to do great all and positivity for my goals, I use what I learned by helping others when they are going through a rough time or if they ask my help. So again thank you so much for everything. You guys rock!!

I brought my adult daughter there a great many times like every Tuesday for more than a year. They changed a lot of her meds. Each week I would tell them how she was doing and it was not good. The last time there about one month ago like always I told them she was not doing good and stated I BELIEVE SHE NEEDS MORE HELP RIGHT NOW AS ALL DAY EVERY DAY SHE TALKS ABOUT TAKING HER LIFE, like always they seam to not believe me I asked if she could stay some place where they could watch her more close for a few weeks. THEY SAI D WELL SHE HAS A PPOINTMENT ON JAN 31st to see her doctor,. WELL she could not wait that long we went home and two days later my loving daughter took her life MY DAUGHTER DIED JANUARY 11 th waiting for that Jan,31 doctor appointment. I don't believe they know what they are doing there. I write this in memory of my daughter SHERI A COLLINS

Avoid this place at all costs! My husband went to a therapist here for severe depression, and was treated poorly the entire time. First, the very first therapist he saw quit the same day he saw him, right after scheduling another appointment with him. Then, we were told that each therapy session costs approximately $200. That is a complete and total lie. They not only billed us for each $200 therapy session, but they also billed us for a facility fee of $378 just for walking into the place. So we have been charged nearly $600 an hour for therapy. When you tell them that nobody could possibly pay $600 an hour for a therapy session, they don t care. The refuse to own up to their lies, and fix the billing. Finally, the actual psychiatrist my husband was set up with quit after his first appointment with him. So here we are, almost $2000 in debt, and no help for his depression. These people should not be able to practice medicine if this is how their patients are treated.

First off if you or your loved one is having a serious crisis DO NOT COME HERE. It was a 3 hour wait just to see a social worker, another 2 to see a "doctor" and another hour for them to actually tell us what was happening. Most of the people here are students and have no real qualifications yet. We were hustled into rooms and thrown into conversations with people without knowing their names or titles. The goal was to have my boyfriend admitted. In short he was having severe paranoia and was partaking in incredibly risky behavior which could have ended with him hurting himself. We both expressed how much of a danger he was to himself. They absolutely refused to admit him because he wasn't seeking long term care with them. We were lead to believe that they would take him in until the last minute where they threw a prescription at him , without telling us before hand and essentially shoved us out of the door. Please, I implore you if you or your loved one needs a crisis center immediately do not come here. It's a waste of time.

I look back over a year to see how much I have healed from the aftermath of the Eskenazi disaster. It's a shame Eskenazi has poised itself as the paramount advocate for the lower-income mentally ill. Fortunately I have a supportive family who saw the wreckage Eskenazi psychiatrists and staff made in not honoring my wishes. Dismissive is the word I feel best describes the doctors and practice at this clinic. Had I stayed with this clinic and not followed my gut in leaving I am confident I would not be around to write this post today. I encourage all potential clients and caretakers to think twice before using this clinic's services. Once locked in the Eskenazi system I was a prisoner to a larger system they have the potential to create. I am no longer their prisoner and have found freedom in real care. My suggestion is simple: Don't go here!

This clinic can only help if you come in and outright say that I want to end my life. My world is spiralling out of control in my head which is causing my world to spiral around me. I came in begging for help and was handed a list of phone numbers that I had already looked up a million times. I asked to speak to someone else and was met in the waiting area by a woman who acted more like security than anyone who could help me. She basically told me the same thing, that they could not help me unless I was going to hurt myself.
I sat in tears begging for help and was sent away because I will not admit that I am tettering on that line between barely holding it together and ready to jump off their parking garage. Do not come here unless you have a loaded gun to your head and even then it may be more help to go ahead and pull the trigger than to seak help here.
