I have had mutual funds and annuities for decades. I call...they deposit that day..this is the worst company ever...they stall and stall even when you explain it s an emergency..I may lose my home thanks to their ineptitude.
Terrible company! No one can ever explain why my scheduled pay outs from a retirement account don t come on the same date every month. The pay outs have varied from the 12th of the month (13th, 14th, 17th, 20th, 26th, 27th....) even into the beginning of the next month! Luckily this is not my main retirement income. Otherwise I would have troubles covering my bills every month. I would give a rating of zero if I could.
Put on hold for over 40 minutes total to get a real person just for her to give me a fax number to send in a document. That information could be all online without having to call. Then, I was instructed to call again and make sure they got the fax? (Haven't done that because it could mean another 40 min on the phone) The woman who helped me was very nice but this organization is not one that I would trust with my money (I was unaware that Valic used them as a 3rd party administrator)

Terrible customer service even when you consider how bad customer serice is at most places today. This place is a new low.
This is the most difficult company I have ever dealt with. My retirement account was set up to pay for health care for myself and my husband, and I even received a debit card to use for this purpose. However, they have rejected my and my husband's medicare insurance payments twice. Now I am very late paying my bill. They have also made me submit multiple copies of bills for other payments only to tell me they don't have enough documentation so are now threatening to suspend the card so that I can't use it for anything. I have no doubt that they are making lots of interest on the money they are holding for me while making me late on multiple bill payments.
Rude to say the least. I have no idea why our employer uses these people. They can't even get the contributions right and then when you call them--they tell you that they're waiting for a response from your employer. If you try to say anything else--they cut you off. They don't want to hear it. For a short time when I logged into my account, my wife's information would pop up. When she logged in--she would see another person's account. Make sure you check your monthly contributions on their website! They don't even know how to perform an internal audit.Their website is not user friendly and they don't make it easy to communicate with them via email. They also don't give you any kind of status on your case number. Very arrogant. No wonder they have such low ratings.
