We often do only those things that we think or a told we can do.
UtrechtInc offered me a warm welcome in the world of entrepreneurship. Previous to stepping through their doors, I hadn't a clue what starting a business was like or even gave any thought to doing so. Entrepreneurship seemed like the furthest thing away from my student life. Something only a small group of suit wearing, gelled hair, fancy talking, Wall street-like individuals would do.
UtrechtInc introduced me to Herman van den Berg, their marketer, who also became my mentor throughout the course of my one year long journey. He's done a great job at keeping me motivated, even when things got tough and always had advice on hand when I felt lost. With him I got to interact the most from the team but Cerina, Robin, Jorg and Stefan are great people too! Together they make up for a very energetic team and their characters overflow in the overall atmosphere of the incubator. The private offices I've never seen but the public spaces, where everyone works together on their own thing are spacious and comfortable... since I mentioned the people, everyone there's highly approachable, knowledgeable and, unless neck deep in work or bent over the ping pong table, ready to sit down with you and chat about how things are going.
Although my first run ended, I'm already looking towards the second. Now I know I can, so there's no reason not to. A warm thank you to the team and good luck to everyone thinking about joining their programs!
