Michigan Rehabilitation Physicians Review

Dr. David Gordon was so heartless and non caring. I came into the office in pain he had no care in the world to help me. First of all he wanted me to go without my medication. Then wait until I could get in to see a suboxone doctor for some type of help. This doctor does not deserve to be in the medical profession....! I already suffer depression but he made me feel worse. He treated me terrible....! Thank God for finding my original Dr. Eric Kovan. He treats you with respect and makes you feel good about yourself. Do yourself a favor don't book an appointment with Dr. Gordon unless you want to feel worse than what you already do.

I was a patient here for 6 years. For that entire time, I was very happy with the doctor. After 6 years, because of the "opioid crisis" the doctor no longer felt "comfortable treating my condition" I never failed a urine analysis, never called in for early scripts or anything. I am disabled by the state because my diseases are incurable and nothing further can be done besides treat the pain from them. I have proof/documentation of this and notes from diagnostic doctor stating this. To tell a loyal patient to go elsewhere after 6 years is unethical and unprofessional. I was told by the medical board (LARA) that, because of my diseases, the severity of them, the fact that I am disabled by the state and that I have so much documentation of them, the new pain medication rules would not effect me. All the doctor would have needed to do was a little more paperwork to have me documented as a patient that has incurable chronic and painful illnesses and that all that can be done for me is treating the symptoms (pain) because nothing else can be done for the diseases. But obviously I was not worth a little more paperwork. I'm sure the doctor didn't lose any sleep over it either. I think I might even complain to LARA especially since I was told this should not have effected my care/treatment. It was wrong to treat me for 6 years, then claim to not be comfortable treating my diseases anymore. Pathetic, immoral, unethical, incompetent. Especially since I see someone else leave a review raving at the care he/she gets from the meds the Dr gives them. Shame on these doctors!!

I have had a horrible time finding a pain doctor since the whole opioid epidemic started, my last doc said i failed my drug test in which i have never done and wouldn't let me see the test results. So i have tryd for the last 3 months to find a new doc who is accepting new patents and would care enough to help fond the best plan of action in figuring out the best way to help my pain from a horrible car accident then 6 done surgeries that have not work. We now have a plan on how to get my pain more controlled son i can be a mom again and NOT just lay down and watch from a distance. The doctor that i seen today was very respectful and actuallycared! Thank you so much staff and wonderful doctors, i can not express how happy i am to have found you. P.s. the doctor i seen today was really cute

Dr. Eric Kovan DO is an excellent doctor, a straight shooter. I am a grateful patient. Wait time is minimal, staff is professional, courteous and the office is impressively clean.

Rossman is the worst, will leave you in pain and does not care at all. In crazy pain, cant work, cant anything. only thing that will help is s epidural wont give me one because they never bothered to send for my mri, now its wait 3 more weeks (in pain) and then maybe. cannot believe I just got blamed for them not getting my mri which I sign for months ago. they act like pain is not big deal, oh well. place is a joke.

Dr.Kovan is the best in the business. He gets straight to the point, and addresses ur conditions starting at his office. Very humble and compassionate. The bonus is his staff! All are very patient and respectful. You would be short changing yourselves if you went anywhere else for pain management.

I had an appointment with Dr. Kovan, but somehow I ended up with Dr. Rossman. I wish that I'd rescheduled ! She isn't compassionate at all. She didn't care about my pain. She didn't do anything for me. Going here was a complete waste of time.

Dr. Kovan is wonderful and caring. I am very grateful for all the help he has provided. His staff is kind and very punctual. Clinic is always clean.

Dr. Kovan is one thee best in Michigan, if you don t know him then you re definitely missing out!!!!! Highly and respectfully recommend!!!!

Dr. Kpvan is a danger to his patients. He prescribes opiates in large amounts and lies in front of patients about his assessments of them. Dr. Kovan has lied in front of me on almost every occasion I have had to visit him over the past 13 years, which was at least every 3 months and often more frequently. He claims to have completed an assessment of walking, reflexes, and other physical indicators of health and pain. He was lying. He never touched me and never completed an assessemnt. He was, however, available to prescribe opiates. Now he's in trouble with the DEA for over-prescribing. This does not come as any surprise. Please don't schedule further appts with Dr. Kovan. Continue with Rehabilitation Physicians of Livonia and Novi, MI where they wil treat the CAUSES of your pain instead of the SYMPTOMS of your pain. - registered nurse

I've seen Dr Eric Kovan for 18 years. He is an intelligent compassionate doctor. Everyone in the office is professional and nice.

Dr. Eric Kovan, D.O., is very intelligent, and impressive, as you will find out on the first day you meet him, especially when he is recording your transcripts. Everyone of his staff is very kind, and helpful. You will never have to sit very long to wait for the Doctor, everyone is fast, and efficient, very professional.

I used to see Dr. Rossman, a kind and caring Dr...since then they put me with Dr. Gordon, who seems to be more worried about taking me off my meds ( which I've been stable on for 20 years)..than helping with my pain.
Seems this office has become a recovery center instead of a pain relief center...very disappointing...
Now I am stuck...I have to give this place 1 star only because it wouldnt post with zero...Hoping to find a Dr. dedicated to pain relief....
