About Michigan indigent defense commission
The Michigan Indigent Defense Commission (MIDC) is a state agency that was established in 2013 to ensure that all indigent criminal defendants receive effective assistance of counsel. The MIDC develops and oversees the implementation, enforcement, and modification of minimum standards, rules, and procedures for the provision of indigent defense services throughout the state.
