I have tried over and over for several years to get me and others help through the crisis line...its a joke. No matter who you are calling for or why it's all about you...can't get help for someone else. If its you who need it well if you are not suicidal...they will make you suicidal and then not help you. Or if you are their best suggestion is call 911....what is the purpose for this crisis line....are all diagnosis and issues considered not crisis if you are not suicidal yet??? Why doesn't dr's, psychiatrist, counselors and others just tell you don't call until you have a plan to kill yourself.....nothing else matters to them!!!!!
Theirs no need to mention the mhmr clinics for the covid, the increased amount of paperwork, the short of staff, the lack of funding, the case loads, the lack of training etc has rendered them nonfunctional or disfunctional with a lack of empathy and Apathy running rampantly. I quite counting the number of times I been told if you are unhappy go somewhere else. Central theme from a establishment which prides itself and receives funds to treat unhappy people. What hope does we have when the psychiatrist tells you "go somewhere else"

I am so stunned and disappointed at the treatment that I have received from MHMR. Having major depression issues, I reached out to MHMR at the suggestion of my primary doctor. What a complete joke. Not one person that I have come in contact with has seemed to care one bit about my issues or have the smallest amount of empathy or even human kindness. All they wanted to do was start me on medication. And have me jump through a million hoops! They didn t want to hear my issues or anything else. The Dr actually just typed on her computer the entire time I was talking!!! Now I have started taking the medication and it s time for a refill. The pharmacy can t get in touch with them to authorize! I finally get in touch with someone after trying for THREE DAYS!! The girl tells me it takes two to three days for the prescription to be sent! I told her I took the last pill today what did she suggest I do. She said go to the emergency room!! Soooo done with these people!!

This is a place where you can get get assistance in so many areas. It will take you having to to be willing to follow through with your assistance. Help only works if you continue to communicate, and ask for help. Staff are there to help provide you with the things and assistance that is available for you. There are some very caring people here who will do what they can to help you. I love the opportunities.

I was once a member in 2018 and they tried tricking me into signing paper work. Thankfully I had a friend warn me about the trickery of them taking your disability check away and I refused to sign any paper work. I thought my friend was crazy but I saw what they did to him and many of my other friends in MHMR community center. Please steer clear from this organization.

Getting help here is a total joke. They tell you during intake to just walk in and as long as you show up before 3 you ll be seen. I show up in the afternoon because I work. Get told I can t be seen because they are booked. Get told they can call me a week later, today for it. We set up the time, and I go on my way. Today happens. No call. I try getting in touch with them. Their voicemail is full. Finally someone calls me and tells me no one will call me and that it s my fault because I m not available before 1 because, you know, I work. I don t know what it will take to be seen by these people.

Update: received another call after posting this. From the benefits office. Regarding my pay. They will call about money, but they can t be bothered to help.

Another update: they were supposed to call me for my appointment that I had to change my work schedule to have and after not being called I drove up there. Finally was seen. Wasn t told the results of my evaluation, have to wait a month to see a doctor, still haven t received the emails from the benefits office that I was promised, 5 days later, and it s a 6 month wait to get the Counseling I was advised to have. I can t wait to get the paperwork I need to be able to seek help elsewhere. This is a joke.

Just wanted to share my experiences about MHMR. I've been a patient for years. They are understanding, kind, helpful, and caring to me always. I would recommend them to anyone. MHMR offers resources for disabled amongst many other things I bet you don't even know about. It's normal to have waiting times in any doctors office. I've had to wait too , but I'm sure they're working hard to give the best care they can. So I'm giving them a 5 stars because they're one of the biggest reasons i am in recovery now.

Big disappointment. Don t trust when they say we are here to help. This is a big lie. I am not sure if these people are trained at all or bunch of armatures hired to keep this organization running and getting the public aid. Again this is a big disappointment and I see them danger on the public. Must be shut down.
