At first I was upset because I felt like I was held hostage and against my will but then again after a while examining my perception of what I thought , I kind of felt comfortable and came to peace with my doctor's decision. The staff was amazing and respectful and created a safe and secured environment. This is my hospital since birth 55 years ago. I was told I'm always welcomed.

Went today Sunday to get PCR test needed for travel as per the NYC Health + Hospital site it says they do PCR testing Mon-Sun up to 3:30pm. When we get there on a small printed sign someone crossed out Sunday and wrote Saturday. They need to update their times because people are going to there based on the hours they have posted. I traveled from the Bronx there for no reason. No one answers the phone so calling before hand is pointless.
Ladies on the 3rd floor of the north building, specifically A,B, C are very rude. They practically yell at patients and speak to them as if they were their children. One of them said to a patient don t just stand there she could ve used more professional language. They lack profesionalism!!I only took off one star b/c I ve seen more professional and adequate staff in other areas of the building. But where can I report their behavior?
I had my first baby here in May 2020 with the midwives and it was a great experience!! I had been using a private practice that delivers at NYU but after realizing that I wanted an experience that prioritized the mother and the baby rather than the hospital, I found Metro.
At Metro you might not get the best food or the most modern decor, but you will get a private room, caring and patient midwives, and the time and space to let your body do what it needs to do...no rushing you to get a c-section or lottery to get a private room. It has its quirks but I loved it! I recommend taking a tour to make sure its a place you feel comfortable with. Thank you Metro and midwives!
With the doctor's records and the 3D scanner to prove that the doctor planted the patient's front teeth askew, the patient refused to return the money, forced the patient to Sue in court, $1,500 for the lawyer, $4,000 for the implant, shouldn't you pay? He hired a lawyer to argue that the patient had sued the wrong hospital, and that the three-month statute of limitations had expired. The situation found on 7/16/2019 was submitted to the court on 8/7/2019, what is the reason to avoid liability? I am very dissatisfied with your attitude towards your medical errors. Until now, no one has said sorry to me, and you are still looking for excuses. Will you betray the trust of your patients?
I was in so much pain and went to the ER. The doctor said I had UTI, even though I told him that I already did the test for infection days ago and it was negative. He did not do any test to make sure about what I have and prescribed antibiotics. My pain got stronger and I went to another hospital. It was kidney stones and he was incapable of working on an ultrasound to see why I was in pain. Terrible!
Great staff,very concern,great doctor's and nurse's
Horrible Hospital. Very, very unprofesional. When having skin surgery, they never discussed any of procedures or complications prior surgery at consultation. They also unprofessionally canceled & rescheduled my original surgery with no regard to my schedule therefore lacking in communication & lacking professionalism by not consulting with me. One of the nurses was extremely rude and had an attitude. I will never consult or consider having ANY surgery in that hospital again.
