The phones never work! I have to go to the office to get any results. I ve asked several times for my apartment to be fumigated to no avail. My neighbors have an odor that consumes my home still no one does anything about it. Who do you talk to when nobody will do anything?!
I ve been homeless since the I lost my apartment when the pandemic started in Spring of last year. I have already been accepted for a Section 8 voucher according to the apartment manager that helped me do my paperwork but she keeps saying MDHA hasn t processed it yet. She said it takes three weeks but it s already been a month and not a word. I keep calling the MDHA office but it s either they say they can t help you and they transfer you to another department or they don t answer the phone and it just hangs up on you. I haven t been able to get ahold of anyone at MDHA that can tell me anything. I ve been sleeping in my car since the pandemic started and my car leaks coolant so I can only run it for 10 minutes until I have to fill it back up again. I haven t been able to find anywhere to park in Nashville overnight. Walmart and Lowe s both told me I couldn t park in their parking lots overnight. I ve tried getting help fixing my car from one of the Social Services places here in Nashville but they can t help me and just ask if I ve got family that could help. I ve already told them I have no family in Nashville. MDHA was awards millions of dollars that were supposed to go towards helping people who were displaced due to COVID-19 but I ve been homeless almost two years now due to COVID-19 and I haven t gotten a penny s worth of assistance from MDHA yet. They all get to go home to their houses everyday but people who are homeless who are supposed to be getting helped with federal funds are being left out in the streets with nowhere to turn.
Section 8 never answers the phone my caseworker doesn t help out to help nobody find a place to live there rude and have attitudes and doesn t care if a person goes homeless with their child section 8 is horrible and don t care about anybody at all but there selves

I m a Domestic Violence victim trying to get help and the lady at the front desk name Sheryl, with one L, as she said in a smart voice gave me some information I did not believe was true. So I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said here let me give you her number so she can tell you the same thing. I told her you are talking to me like you don t want to help and don t care. I said so if I died today and I asked you for help, you wouldn t care or feel bad? She said honey call that number in a smart voice and hung up.
I've called several times, the lady that answered my call was so rude, I'll be homeless soon, I need help, born here, 61 years old. Health problems
A hot mess. No one ever cares to help and all of them have attitudes.
Links on site for open waiting lists are incorrect and I've called twice for assistance...I have never spoken to such ignorant people who know nothing about anything and won't or can't assist you. I thought this was their job???
Been waiting on them to call me for 3 days now and every time I call the portability guy never call you back it s just sad. Nasty attitude they have. We re is the manager and does that person has the same attitude and don t care about the people.
I have called section 8 several times since October to report my income change and got straight attitude. No one would answer the phones and now I have to pay a balance because of the break down in communication. beyond upset that I have to pay or lose my home because of miscommunication.
