Management company and landlord are constantly fighting- as in they can t even agree on whether or not they have a legal 2 bedroom or an illegal 4 bedroom.
Several tenants managed by this company had related the following experience:
Your roommate moves out, management tells you you need to fill the room, but they must approve. No problem. You do all the work to find additional roommates, send them to meet management, who will then offer them another vacancy somewhere else, leaving you to pay full rent despite doing everything they tell you to.
They also handled corona terribly. One of the tenants refused to social distance or stop bringing over dates as the city shut down. Tensions rose, and management tried to move him into another unsuspecting roommate situation.
Also they had no idea they were legally obligated to 1) return security deposit in 14 days, and 2) are no longer allowed to charge first last and security in New York City. They re a real estate company who doesn t know real estate laws. Avoid at all costs.
