Merritt Estate Winery Review

Our favorite winery in WNY. We always feel like family when we are here.

We've been to the Merritt Estate Wineries for just one visit. Their strawberry festival in the early summer. It was enough to make us want to keep coming back. Today we are visiting for their Septemberfest event. I'm sure it will be a wonderful time!

Great selection of wines and a beautiful vineyard! We make a point to stop here every summer. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

Great place, so quiet (even when theres a wedding going on next door!)outside lovely atmosphere for tasting and gathering with friends...and there's no limit to how many tastings you can have .

It was okay... sat there not waited on for quite some time... then they took care of a crowd that came in after us.
The wine was okay though...

Love the Bella Ice Wine. Can t wait to share it with friends! Thank you for having the teacher appreciation celebration yesterday. There were 8 of us from Erie who participated!

While traveling through, we noticed all the grapevines- so did a quick map search and found this vineyard. It took a few minutes to get some help... but Oh my goodness! Our hostess was so nice and helpful! Excellent wines, excellent experience here. Will definitely be ordering more. The XTC wine is fantastic!

Worth the stop. Surrounded by many wineries. Estate wines here. Great staff. Will return again.

Went to Strawberry festival today. Wait was too long for food, should have 12 + burgers cooking and ready to go, they weren't prepared for crowd. They should also have 2 lines, one for strawberrys and one for food. We ordered the choc covered strawberries with our food but had wanted to get strawberry shortcake. Food line was so long we weren't going to wait in it. I think they could sell a lot more. People walked away when they saw the line. Didn't see any strawberry wine, we had thought of buying a bottle. Bar area was packed, good for them, but we left - again - didn't want to wait in line.

Loved this winery and the staff was super friendly. Bought some great cheese too.

My first winery experience here was amazing. They are a wonderful winery with delicious wines. I'll definitely be going back.

Two of my close friends had their wedding here. Let me start by saying the wine was quite good, though with the amount of awards theve won for it it should come as no surprise. The venue itself was quite nice and the staff were very accommodating and helpful when the inevitable problems alcame up. They don't allow you to try the food ahead of time but what was served was good bordering on great. All in all a good place for a bottle of wine and a nice venue for a wedding.

Good wine, but amazing flower arrangement outdoors. Definitely an extra star for the flowers, very nice!

Very nice Southerntier Western New York winery. Fantastic server, service. Free tastings. Pretty vineyards. Good variety of outstanding wine.

The representative behind the counter with the store empty did not properly assist me in my quest. He only pointing in a direction of the wine's left me to determine to witch one purchase. When I selected one he then told me about the wine and allowed me to taste a sample of which I liked and consequently purchased.

Had a great time and Mrs. Ivory was the best great tour great wine.

I love Merritt winery the wine slushies are perfect at the counties fairs in the summer. I like the red sweetier wines like XTC and Bella rosa! Definitely want to do wine tasting and a wine tour one day!

For this time of the year made the winery so welcoming. Also the wines and employees are always there to help you too. It is where we go, nice ride etc.

My husband and I do a self guided tour of the North East Wineries. We stopped at the Merritt Estate Winery and owner William was very hospitable and the tasting girl was very friendly also.

Amazing place, really good wines more so if you like sweet wines. They offer a free tasting and are reasonable priced. If you buy 4 you get a 10% discount which is definitely worth it. Check them out!

Went to a cake decorating class at Merritt's winery had a good time.

We visited while traveling and called three wineries, they were only place open on Sunday. Glad we visited here, host were friendly, no pressure to buy anything, nice outside seating area looking over grape farms. They also serve beers on tap. I recommend this place for quick and quite, yet very enjoyable afternoon

Great winery. Owner very friendly and informative. We tasted some great wines and went home with a few great choices!

At the taste of buffalo. Girl was very rude and would not give me a Souvenir because I lack one ticket. When she I gave ticket away. Terrible!! Don t come to this city anymore we don t need your services at the buffalo location.

Amazing wines & the "Strawberry Festival" during the strawberry moon is so much fun! Affordable. Family atmosphere. Live music. Car show & vendors. Bring a chair. Spend the day! Enjoy a wine XTC Slushie!

My friend and I were on our motorcycles up from Columbus, OH, and we stopped in around 6:20 on a Sunday, only to see on the sign that the winery closed at 6. As we were standing in the parking lot trying to determine our next stop, the tasting room associate came out and was adamant that they would be more than happy to do a tasting for us. The wine was quite enjoyable, and we really appreciated the hospitality. Definitely worth a five-star rating!

Was so disappointed by their treatment of me when their sparkling wine exploded on me. They blamed me, promised compensation and did not deliver.

A must go! Free generous wine tastings, good food, atmosphere and family who are now friends! They have a mobile wine truck for events anywhere! So cool! Self guided tours are welcome! I will return again and again!
