Had a deep laceration in my left thumb (5 stitches) very aggressive while stitching my thumb up, I waited in the lobby for 3 hours (dripping blood onto the floor) before they even attempted to help me, told me to come back in a month to get stitches removed, I went to my doctor instead

I came here twice, in different time frame. First round, with my respiration complain, they failed to find what exactly is wrong with my lung, and my breathing issues, was suspect for COVID-19, came out negative. They put me in extend testing. They did confirm that I do have Hyperthyroidism which it make some sense why I have trouble breathing. After several hours, I was discharged, and my breathing was return normal later on. I give them 9/10 for their work. For 2nd round related to my Hyperthyroidism, I have for almost 9 months. They take it very seriously and did remember from 1st round. Did another testing, and strange enough to say this, it did return to normal function, like it never happen before. I was able to return to normal daily life. I give them 10/10 for their work. Only problem I have experience is, Wi Fi is not always constantly working like in high speed. it only delay by min or 2. to deliver message/post etc. It not big deal because there is many people at hospital that are using Wi Fi at same time I use it.
I might have a kidney stone as what I they believed was going on they didn't even have water for me to drink they wouldn't. Give me one Advil. I had to walk to my car to get my own water bottle to go and fill up in the bathroom when I asked for a drink of water then after sitting there for an hour and a half in pain because my kidneys are inflamed and whatever else is the second kidney stone that I have had so I kind of know what it's like. All of the drink containers to drink to buy drinks out of in the emergency room or out of order in the drinking fountain was covered over with bags and do not use because it covered it did not offer any water at all this is a hospital
My heart goes out to the man back in 2019 that was in the ambulance with me on my way to brook lane mental hospital that man was so sweet telling me how I ll be alright. <3
I was in the waiting room for 5 plus hours. No one was called back for at least 2 hours of me being there. The worst hospital experience I have ever had.
The number one most important thing I want to point out; I filled out the correct information for my daughters birth certificate and social, THEY PUT IN THE WRONG CITY when they sent it in. So I had to send her birth certificate back to vital records so they could send me one with the correct address and now I have to send medical records to get a replacement social security card because THEY SENT IN THE WRONG INFORMATION so I never received her first ssc. I even double checked the paperwork I filled out when I picked up the records to make sure I wasn't the one that made the mistake. My next is complaint is we couldn't go into the special nursery to see her together, I get it is because of covid, but at the same time when I pushed her out there was ONE NURSE giving her oxygen and like 5 others just standing there surrounding her joking and talking about how much weight they want to lose. My daughter getting oxygen right after I push her out is not your break time. If there is no reason for you to be in the room then get out. The midwife was so embarrassed she apologized to us. I'm just lucky my job gives me 60 days to add her onto my insurance otherwise I would of been screwed because they couldn't care enough to double check everything before they sent it in. On a side note the food was good and some of the nurses were great.
I really wish I could give this hospital zero stars. I have had two seizures at this hospital as a direct result of two doctors tinkering with my medications instead of treating the presenting issue at hand. I have been belittled, judged, and down right made to feel like a lab rat at this facility. The mental health services especially are of the poorest quality and are maintained like a prison of shame. I really wish I was exaggerating here. I have twice had nurses recognize me and share personal information to other staff about me and my outside life, all within earshot and having a good laugh about me. I am stopping short of throwing those doctors names on here as they are still currently on staff, but knowingly letting a patient go through a seizure as a result of stopping a medication they didn't agree my outside doctors should have put me on, was not what I had in mind when I went there, nor was it the presenting issue, as that was never directly treated, they became much more worried about playing with my medications instead of providing treatment. It has just been plain miserable to end up at this hospital and have to go through this time and time again. I filed a report about the issues with nurses directly to the hospital and nothing ever became of it. I wish people could also get a look at the lockdown hallway where they throw the people with substance and mental health issues and make them lay on box beds in bare jail style rooms and to be left staring at nothing.
Mother went in for a pericardial effusion. Told to come in right away waited for 5 days to have something done. Surgeon did the procedure.. Did good until she went to the step down to 4 th floor after ICU. Was supposed to be walked 3 times a day never happened. Yes she had other medical problems. She was elderly. But when she went to emergency room she was able to walk and breathe on her own. Not any more. She is on oxygen and wheelchair when she came home. 2 months later passed away. I think there nurses should be more compassionate and learn to insert a IV without destroying a patient arm.
My labor and delivery experience was fantastic. The nurses were so helpful and kind, and took good care of me and my new baby. My labor was rough, but the care I received during it was prompt and I feel like people communicated well to me when it was obvious I needed a C section. Minus one star because I felt that communications broke down a little while I was in the recovery room immediately following my surgery. I had no idea what was going on with my health at that point and no one talked to me about what happened while I was unconscious (I needed to be knocked out during the section). I didn't even know what medicine I was on then. But literally everything else was great, even the food (not restaurant quality food, but still a good variety and it tasted well cooked).
I m from out of town and needed medical care and of course, I went straight to this hospitals reviews and was scared to go in. Well I finally went in and let me just share how wonderful my care was. I had two of the most amazing nurses ,Haley and Mike made my visit the best ever. They made me fell like I wasn t just a patient and were at my side the whole time.
