We went on a Sunday afternoon with 8 people. we were seated right away downstairs. We had a fantastic waitress. She was able to take all 8 of our orders by memory, even with many substitutions and add ons. We thought..no way she will remember all of that. Well she did. Every last change!!! She deserved her tip that day.

Great arugula salad with chicken and the creamsicle shake forget about it...

The host was a bit spacey and tried to sit me and a friend in the basement at a 6 person table when there were two seater tables available on the main floor. We requested the main floor and sat by the window. Their shakes were a bit pricey, $6-8 bucks. The waitress sucked. Checked on us 10 minutes after getting the food and only one time after we got it until she got the check. I had to walk up to the bar to get spicy mayo because the turkey burger wasn't served with it. Everything else was really nice, including the atmosphere and quality of food.

Burgers, bacon, ice cold beer, tots... What's not to love?!

The food was tasty but the service was kinda rude. I just felt like everyone working was irritated which is unfortunate.

The service was great but the buck stops there. Burger was over cooked. Fries were cold. Not sure what the hype is about.

Staff always friendly. Beef burgers are great. Non meat options but disappointed in their mushroom burger. I can make a better one at home

Worst service i ever had. Got appatizer, and our burger and fries before the shakes. This place is always slow but seriously. I took a date, i talked this place up. And i was embarrassed. We ended up leaving, never got the shake. The only reason we came here..server was terrible. Dont take a date forsure. I hit my head on something they had hanging up in the patio. Manager didnt even care about it. Told them we had to leave without the shakes, they just happened to come up. They hand the shakes to a couple for free. This place is LAME

If you're traveling to Detroit, stop in. If I lived here, this would be a regular for sure. The burger was great, but the tots we're the biggest surprise. They we're perfectly cooked and delicious.

Food was ok, but service was rude! Not only did they take their sweet time roaming around the place, but they had bad attitudes. Won't be coming back.

Well known but still unkown gem. Do yourself a favor travel to the Mercury.

Excellent burgers, great shakes (they use Guernsey Dairy ice cream). Service was OK, but the deliciousness of the food made up for any shortcomings.

Hands-down the best burger joint around. I have not tried a single thing on their menu I haven't liked. Their milkshakes are bonkers.

Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really good. However, the burgers are so so, no cinnamon butter for the sweet potato fries (a must!), beers are way much better at the SLOW location in front...

This should be a staple in anyone's visit to Detroit. Great burger selection and a cool atmosphere. Staff is friendly too. The tater totchos are my favorite menu item. Highly recommended.

Had thee southwest detroit burger,thee reuben and buffalo tots was great.

The food is probably great, but the service is TRASH. My family and I came to Detroit from out of town. Unbeknownst to us, we walked in 5minutes to close to be RUDELY greeted BY THE bearded MANAGER with "we close in 5 minutes". No smile, no "welcome", just telling us that they are closing soon. We proceed to ask if we could still order, to which he rolled his eyes, walked away, and summoned an employee to take our order. At that point we decided to take our money elsewhere. I get that you want to go home, but there was no need to be so despicably rude. To say the least, we wont be back.

If you want a burger and shake you can not go wrong visiting Mercury!

Food was good - service was absolute garbage. To the bartenders - your racism is showing. Do better.

Love this place. The burgers are definitely some of the best gourmet burgers in Detroit. Offering toppings and ingredients not seen elsewhere. A staple in Corktown!

Try the lamb burger. As good a burger as can be found. Bathrooms desperately need an update.

Our waiter claimed he was hard of hearing but only to the african american customers was extremely unprofessional. From now on I will go to Brome in Dearborn

Food was great. I want to go back to try the adult shakes. Best part was having our waiter take our orders (table of 6) without writing anything down. He got everything right! If you are cool & hip -- or at least think you are -- this is the place for you.

The garlic fries here are delicious. They fry in lard which makes them extra crispy and delicious. The wait staff here is always friendly and eager to help out their customers.

Bought lunch for me and my crew of 5. $90! Burger was good but nothing amazing. Fries were soggy with no flavor! Won't be going there again, not anywhere close to worth the $

I called as i was driving there. Was put on hold. I physically Walked into the place (while im still on hold with the chick on the phone)got seated at the bar, ordered, paid, and was still on hold on phone. Funny tho.. They had more employess than patrons... But none of them were on the phone. I finally got my 2 vanilla shakes to go after 16 minute wait inside and 21 minute wait on phone. Best milkshake in detroit? Somebody paid for google reviews. Its pretty much a soft serve with little milk. Fast food place whataburger in texas blows it away at 1/3 the price.
On the other hand it is what the hipster generation has created.. Its in an old area that has been well renovated.. Prices are stupid high for what you get.. But you get to tell others its worth the money to bring back mom and pop places and save the history of the town.... Id just soon donate then be ignored on the phone trying to buy 2 shakes...

Not alot of customers still slow abit expensive for stuff you can go to another dinner for less in town.

One of the best burgers I have ever eaten! This local place in Corktown has a big menu of burgers, sandwiches, fries and shakes, with a full bar. I would suggest going early or late for dinner, since it's so popular. Prices are good, especially for the quality.

Loved the food. Tried many items on the menu. They were all top notch. Burgers, fries with slices of fresh garlic, tater tots, salmon burger and a tasty stacked fried bologna with onions and melted cheese on a sesame bun.

My family and I were ignored by the wait staff at the Mercury Burger and Bar. We waited for 15 minutes, no one came to take our orders. So we left.

Still one of my favorite places. The food doesn't disappoint. The burgers are juicy never dry.

i went for the first time tonight. we were sat at a table that hadnt been wiped. we asked our waiter to wipe the table but he was too busy to come back and do it so we had to go to the bar and ask again. then our burgers were served and WHAT??? this is a tiny burger man! THIS is what i paid over $10 for????? no way. ill never come back here again and im writing a bad review when i get home. theres no excuse for the size of this burger! there is no way im paying $20 total bill and still hungry when i leave without giving a bad review. please take 'burger' out of your name.

Wait staff was so chill and friendly. The food was INCREDIBLE. I had the NY, NY burger, salt and pepper fries, and a smores milkshake. Great vibe, would recommend it to anyone.
