Randy was the most helpful, kind, understanding person. We were able to coordinate a service for a family member from a whole another state. When we arrived Randy and his team were professional and guided us through all the required steps and let us take as much time as we needed to process and grieve. If it was not so far from my home I would plan my own services with them. The grounds are beautiful. ....a great resting place if you so choose.

Promises were made to my sister while she crying. Her son is buried here across from the grotto. The landscaping looks terrible and all of her cherished momentos on the grave were thrown away. We went to the office to complain and get the items back. They told us they had been thrown away. Yet just a few feet away, there is a garden with stuff hanging everywhere, in the flowerbeds, wind chimes, wind chasers, flower pots etc. why do those people get special treatment? Someone will be hearing from me again. Over rated and too expensive. They won't get any more of my money or family members.

I phoned to ask if Memorial Park could help me put together a picture presentation. I had never put one together before and didn't know where to begin. They asked me to bring in the photos. I sat there in the office and reduced my number of photos, before handing them in. They were so nice and helpful. They put together the picture presentation really quick, and my family and I were so pleased.

It's never Pleasant when you have to visit a funeral home/ Cemetery but I did have a pleasant experience with the help and getting all of my questions and concerns answered I recommend anyone speaking with Tim Carroll he absolutely goes above and beyond what you would expect

As a child, I visited the gravesite of my grandmother often with my mother. The Grotto area became a favorite place to go afterwards. I am so thankful it has been preserved exactly the way I always remembered it!

Memorial Park just served my family for my father's funeral and entombment last Thursday and they did an absolutely outstanding job.

I sent my parents to pre-arrange with Aaron Reagan at Memorial Park and he handled it wonderfully.

FD Terry Richards was beyond phenomenal...and this was not an easy funeral to coordinate; Terry worked tirelessly with me to coordinate things with the Sheriff's Office, Shelby County Division of Corrections, the Mayor's Office, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and Hope Church to bring about a wonderful celebration of life.

My hats off to Terry Richards and Memorial Park. Many thanks to you from my family and I.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Michael Italiano to pre-plan my funeral and arrangements. He was way more than just competent. He was knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I had a good feeling about him from the seminar dinner at the Side Porch restaurant. That good feeling was confirmed today. I honestly believe that God planned for this great guy and I to meet for these arrangements today. He was a blessing and I now have complete peace of mind about my final arrangements.

We are not religious at all but you have to respect the dedication and artistry here. We spent about an hour walking around the cemetery after visiting the grotto enjoying the peacefulness.

Dr. Michael Italiano was wonderful to work with in finalizing plans for our mother s internment on Saturday. Michael offered much ease throughout this process, and we were fortunate to have the support of such a caring member of the Memorial Park staff at this difficult time.
Greatest thanks to you, Michael

BEWARE OF THEFT HERE!!!! My husband and family buried his 91 year old mother yesterday (November 2, 2020) at Memorial Park Cemetery, and we had only family members at the graveside service. While we were all mourning and speaking heartfelt memories of our mom-grandmother-great great grandmother-aunt-great aunt, someone broke into my daughter s car and stole her purse, driver s license, iPhone, and key-fob. the crooks immediately attempted to charge $1,000 at a nearby Kroger even before the little service was dismissed, but the Fraud Dept. at her bank flagged and denied the charges. Police came out, made a report, and we notified the Memorial Park office, whereby they admitted it had been a big problem there for awhile. We then found out that our niece s wallet and driver s license had been stolen as well...as she d parked in front of my daughter s car. The crooks actually did get $3,000 from her business account, and she s having to spend the morning at the bank to try and retrieve her money...a red tape experience for sure. This morning I heard from an acquaintance of mine that his wife had had her car broken into at the same cemetery in 2018 and her purse was stolen as well. They actually smashed her car window to get it.

There is a BIG theft problem at the Memorial Park Cemetery, and people need to be aware of this!! If Memorial Park knows their patrons graveside services are being compromised this badly, why would they not have a security guard posted at each graveside service?? This is extreme negligence on the part of Memorial Park...a huge, long-time establishment...and they need to do a better job of protecting these graveside service!!

I appreciate the friendly and professional staff at Memorial Park Memphis. Kerrie has been so compassionate and diligent in helping me and my grandmother over these past two months during the passing of our loved ones. She made the transition smooth and easy. We are appreciative and thankful for you all.

My father was buried in November 2012. Now, over three years later, they still haven't found and installed his grave marker.

Update. The manager phoned and I am happy to say they are ordering the grave marker at no expense to me. Once the right person was made aware of the problem, it was quickly remedied.

My 8 year old son was sent to this place from St Jude after I was promised he would be taken care of like the sweet baby boy he was. My son was embalmed and sent to a funeral jomh back in North Carolina without even being bathed. My son still had bandages on his face and blood in multiple areas. My son who was in ICU unable to walk was received with dirty feet, which makes no sense because my husband and I wiped him down and got him dressed before he was sent to Memorial Park and his feet were spotless. I just want to say if you are a person of color(black, yellow,or brown) I would take your loved ones and plan to have your services done at EH Ford funeral home, where you'll be treated like a human being even after death.
We spoke with the manager of this place and no answers came from that so this is why I am leaving this review. Hopefully things like this will be taken more serious in the future.

I have at least 15 friends and relatives buried here. Every service I have attended has been a wonderful tribute to the deceased, including my mother who passed on Dec 5th 2012. My grandparents are in the Masoleum and I have cousins, great Uncles and Aunts here as well as a few friends. It has now become part of my family as my boyfriend Matthew Mason works here. I take pride in him and know that he watches over my family. Wonderful service, beautiful park, and truly great employees who work hard to help families that are hurting make decisions to celebrate the life of their deceased relatives and friends.

Both my parents, both my grandparents,my uncle and many family friends are resting here. I hope mr. Roy Valentine is still there. I had couple of problems with marker, etc. Talked to him and everything was takin care of within couple weeks. Very nice caring gentleman. The grounds are very well kept. Another gentleman,Paul was so concerned and helpful with my last service with my mom. Give it a 5.

Went Here for a family event, and the door greeter tried to kick me out because I didn t match the pigment. I wouldn t recommend this place for anyone who is Grieving, they don t have good intentions.

In a previous event I had attended I wasn t accused of not belonging there, why? Because it was a Hispanic person s viewing. So if you re a person of color going to a funeral of a white person I don t recommend it. They ll try to kick you out.

My friend and I arranged a prepaid funeral with Memorial Park 25 years ago. Sadly, last week the time came for my friend to be laid to rest. And the staff at Memorial Park could not have been more gracious, sympathetic and understanding. David, Micheal, and Heather were so compassionate and helped me get through a very difficult time. Later Dr. Mike was so helpful in my final decision on the headstone. I am so thankful that we chose Memorial Park 25 years ago. A special thanks to all.......

Despite having already a business relationship with this place since family members are buried there or have pre paid plots there, we were in for an ugly surprise when we came to Memorial Park just a couple of hours after my sister passed away. They took us from one manicured and polished meeting room to another, and it took them almost four hours to come to agree on the type of service we wanted. Unfortunately the representatives turned impatient with us. Their prices are almost twice as expensive as other places. No grieving family should ever be treated with such disdain. Will not recommend.

If I could give a negative star I would. I was overcharged $4705.56 for a marker that after 6 months has still not been delivered. I have had great difficulty trying to settle the issue. No one there wants to accept the responsibility and I am very disappointed. I think Memorial Park has gone downhill in service.

My father passed away in Memphis, after a 3 week stay in the hospital following cancer complications that arose while travelling for work. Needless to say, the experience of being in the hospital with him in a city we didnt know, going through a grueling range of failed treatments in a hospital with doctors we didnt know, and then ultimately losing my father was a traumatic experience that was painful emotionally, physically and financially.
Once my father had passed, the thought of having to make the cremation arrangements for him in memphis seemed overwhelming. Memorial Park Funeral Home was recommended by one of the staff members at the hospital. From the first moment I began to one of the funeral directors, Ms. Donna Ammons, I felt as if I had a gaurdian angel on my side that would help me get through these difficult arrangements. Donna offered sympathies, advice, information, and support through every step of the process, and I don't know what my family would have done without her. I highly recommend Memorial Park funeral home if you need funeral services in the Memphis Area. The facility is beautiful, the entire staff is professional and compassionate and are there to help you with grace and sincerity.

When my family and I found out my 18 year old sister passed away, the first thing we did was call Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to their excellent service in the past, my family already purchased family plots. My mother spoke to Trey, who knew how overwhelmed we all were, who then asked my mother if he could take care of everything personally. It was the best decision we ever made. He consistently called to check on my family and updates about our lost loved one. He came to our home to make arrangements due to transportation limitations for my mother.

When my parents went to the funeral home, they met George, who was in charge of preparing my sister for her services. He had done the most amazing job we would ve ever hoped for. She was absolutely beautiful. Each and every single person she met that day expressed their condolences in every form possible and took everything just as personal as we did. Everyone there used all of their heart and soul to help make this the easiest and most special service and process as they could.

Throughout our entire experience in this tragedy, we couldn t have asked for more professional and sincere assistance. They have the capacity to meet the needs of large groups and services
The staff was so knowledgeable, trustworthy and comforting during this time. Everything from recommendations to a shoulder to cry on. My family and I will always trust the job that these wonderful people do every day and have done for us in the past. We would like to send our love and appreciation to Trey Britt, Little John , Mr. George and everyone else at Memorial Park Cemetery for everything they have done for my family and the personal love and comfort they have given us.
