The store is very well organized and clean. I found the prices to be slightly below those at goodwill, and the quality higher. The boutique area was pricey, but the main room had good brands for cheap. Telling employees seemed friendly and polite, even when I accidentally got in the way of someone trying to restock she was polite about it.
Remember that while the items are donated I doubt the rent and utilities are. And employees have to be paid. The money they make is reinvested in the community, so not a bad deal.

Huge store and reasonable but NOT cheep. I wish I lived closer to this area I would check it often. Lots of stock and furniture

I went here looking for a 60's era Punch Bowl with cups and found a great deal for $8.00 - ran into Jan Glenn from Channel 13. They have excellent cusyomer service and a wide variety for thrifty shoppers.

Went there yesterday 4/15/19 to file my taxes and these 2 workers were extremely rude!! Every single time "someone" would ask them a question their response was hostile, raising their voice. I get that they were overwhelmed, but they knew how it would be when they took the job!! We had been there all day, papers filled out. But, when 6 o'clock came they said no more taxes were being done, even though the closing cut off time was 7 o'clock. To make matters worse when the front desk lady was taking paperwork for "Extensions" she was putting the paperwork and photo id's in the wrong area so the lady doing the extensions was behind because she wasn't aware the documents were even brought back to be entered.

You can get some really good deals on furniture, lamps and clothing too. Also it's a great source of help for the needed.

Horrible place!!Hypocritical employees steal all donations the person making the deliveries along with CINDY' the warehouse manager 'they do garage sale every weekend,the pickup guy he dropped the donations in his house to make the garage sale on the weekend just be carful with this people!!!!

Bout a 50-50 for me. I was followed by the woman security my first time there. As if I was going to steal. From a THRIFT store. I gave no reason for her to follow me as to I was simply browsing the whole store. She also tends to make personal calls during her shift and that's absolutely wrong to do as security. Some people stare at you like if there's something wrong with you and keep their eyes on you. Even one of the older volunteers asked me "Can I help you?" in a very rude way as if I was interfering with their work when they were chit chatting with a cowoker. Some staff are sweet. As for the clothes, they price things pretty high so things add up quickly. I was given a voucher and could only get a few things but there's also barely any selection. Even after going there a few times, weeks apart. But other than that, the programs are good and they have people who are ready to help.

Supposedly they sent out a check to my landlord but they didn't get it. Now I need to find somewhere to live. Its christmas time. Thanks mam

This was my first time coming to this store so I didn't know what to expect but what I ended up experienceing what one of the best shops I've been too.

I was in desperate need of utility assistance and they helped me within the same week!

Well organized and clean store. Volunteer staff is always super friendly. Great deals for book lovers and their selection is very good for a resale shop and nicely organized. Some prices may seem a little high but typically I do not mind, knowing that it is going towards charity.

Very disappointed. Tried to buy a skirt for my daughter's play. The lady rudely grabbed it from my had and told me I couldn't buy it because it was part of a set. The pricers were gone for the day. I offered to pay full price. MAM got this clothing for free, why are you taking things so seriously. You made me feel embarrassed. You should be they to help and serve us, not feel you are better than your clients. I will never return and will never donate to you.

I THIS PLACE THEY REALLY HELP NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS I WOULD REFER ANYONE TO COME HERE THEY ARE TRULY ANGELS!!!!

This place has been a solid 5 for me for years. I don't think I've missed one of their shred days in the last 3 years. That all changed today however. I pulled up about 5:01. They close at 5. But they were still unloading several cars. I said I've just driven 25 minutes can you unload mine? The answer was pretty firm no. I said really? He said come back tomorrow. Somehow, I think the right thing would have been unloading my car. Then I said, wow I just drove 25 minutes to get here yet I could gone 5 minutes around the corner to a Goodwill. He said you should go to a Goodwill tomorrow. Guess I will. But I'm sad. They have always been so nice.

Wide variety, prices vary just as widely, it's a fun place for bargain shopping.

MAM services are wide-ranging, excellent, and very necessary in our community. They cover emergency services such as rental and utilities assistance, to longer-term services such as citizenship classes and immigration help, employment services, mental health counseling, English classes, and more. The staff are compassionate and professional and work very hard to help everyone who asks for assistance. Highly recommended.

I have tried to get in touch with someone for information and assistance of help. The number that I was giving to contact and said to call between 9 a.m and 12 p.m. when I called back between those hours it's still saying the same thing.

Some prices are too high but you can find good stuff here

Came to get my taxes done here and they are VERY UNORGANIZED!!! I understand is free to get them done. But they took two hours the second time I came. Last year the guy that helped me took about 30 minutes and to tap it off they only have ONE person that reviews the papers after. How is that possible? If you have about 10 ppl doing the taxes. I do not recommend to come here. GO TO A DIFFERNET ONE EVEN IF YOU PAY!!!

They are such great people and help me with food and such.

Because whenever I go it is because I buy jewelry I like it, but I have been treated badly as a suspicious person, but they have cameras and I have never taken anything without paying, apart psychologically, I feel bad, I have never stolen anything, just because I live nearby , and almost daily I go if I like something I buy it, but they should not behave badly with the people who contribute to them, and they donate everything to them and they put very high prices on items, lousy ... mom ...

I am very blessed for MAMS assisting me with things I needed help with. The thrift shop is FABULOUS I found everything I needed to decorate my home... my babies and I needed last minute outfits for a birthday party. We found EVERYTHING from hair bows, jewelry, clothes and shoes/sandals. Prices are decent and fair.

Best thrift store in Houston IMHO - well organised, new stock every day and reasonable prices.

I called for rent assistance and was told that they could not help me because I live in a transitional facility. I am on parole and work but they do not help. Don't waste your time calling them for help if you are in a similar situation. Just another ministry that claims they help, but only those they choose to help.

The ladies couldnt help nd that would of been fine but they were very rude! Rolling eyes and being very snotty

I'll forever be grateful for MAM. I was in between jobs and they were able to help me pay a portion of my rent. I would have been homeless, with no help. I thank God for them to this day. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!!!!

Mams was a blessing they referred me to an agency who helped me with water bill of $300 that was about to get cut off the next day i am so thankful it took a while to get thru but i never gave up and they helped me out when i couldnt Thank you so much Mams

I had called the number and when asking general questions about the assistance provided I was hung up on not once but 3 times. Never got a name and never got any answers.
