My experience was not good ... I bought my ticket online ... thinking that besides being cheaper would facilitate my access. Despite receiving the QRCODE from the ticket, I had to face the queue of who was buying the ticket on time. Then I faced a long queue ... and up there more disappointment ... small space ... lots of people !! It was disappointing. The Sydney Tower is much more comfortable and with a much wider view !!

Cool tower with a great view of the city. My only complaint is just a more general one that 'lookout experiences' like this one are common around the world and pretty similar. It seems like an important activity to 'tick off' when you visit a new city but I often wonder if its worth while.

Eureka Skydeck is at the heart of every tourists holiday in Melbourne. People from all nations are baited into visiting this tower that is soaring above all the other skyscrapers within this great city, in order to enjoy the great view of Melbourne that was previously only reserved for those of whom are privileged..... is how this is usually advertised but lets get real for a second. You go up 88 floors for $20-$30 and enjoy the view, in the event that you feel parched you can buy bottled water for like $8 from one of the cafe's up their and if you even dare to get hungry you can ease your suffering by purchasing a $10 bag of crisps. not bad am I right.

Oh but then there's obviously the EDGE experience which is a glass box in which you will be placed, within groups of 8 or so that'll slide out and you'll be able to look down beneath you off the side of the building.... IF you happen to have honed the ability to see through acrylic glass so old, thick and fogged up that in any other case would need help from some military grade x-ray googles in order to see the building itself let alone the rest of Melbourne.

all in all enjoy your (on average) $40 elevator ride and bring your own snacks.

Amazing view. At day time is fantastic but at night time the reflection of the lights inside make it hard to appreciate the view. I was there nearly at closing time, I missed the last call to go into the deck part and obviously they did not let me in. I was so amazed by the view that I did not pay attention to the call. They had a good attitude though, letting me pay some extra money to go back the next day (there was not flexibility, it had to be the next day which make things a bit hard when you are in Melbourne as a tourist) I can not complain but make sure not to miss the last call!

88 floors up in downtown Melbourne! Quite a view you have all around (and outside the city). I did not pay to walk out on the clear glass box and had a great experience. There is an option to step outside (fenced in area), which I used to take a number of photos. I would recommend going at sunset (5:30 PM in August). FYI that the glass is double walled in some places and photos can be difficult due to reflections.

I'd recommend getting to the skydeck before golden hour, park your butt at your favorite view and enjoy. Can get very noisy because of young children. Value of the "the edge" option highly debatable. Avoid weekends and school holidays.

I have been up there like 5 times and my excitement levels never change. i always loved coming up the tower and its not stupidly expensive it's so worth it the view gives so a chilled mood. 10/10 love eureka skydeck

The Edge Experience cost an extra $12 on top of the $25 to get up there, then we weren't allowed to take cameras inside "The Edge" because they have one set up in there already and charge $15 per photo if you agree to get them taken. A real rip off when the glass behind those being photographed is unclear so you can't see the view outside. Wouldn't bother again.

Google doesn't appear to have a reply button for me to reply to you, Eureka Skydeck, so I'm replying here. I understand that the glass is thicker for safety reasons but the section at the back (opposite the entrance) is completely blurred compared to the other glass walls of The Edge. Perhaps it's the window tinting or some other phenomenon but it really does have an impaired view from that side which diminishes the experience greatly.

Good place to get an overview of the city.

Good place to get an overview of the city.
At night the glass is dark tinted and very reflective so difficult for photos. Go for sunset instead.
I would not recommend the edge experience, might be ok for small kids or thrill seekers who suffer vertigo.

Amazing 360 view of the city 88 storeys (285m) up, and well worth the entry fee ($25\person) if you're visiting Melbourne. Mounted scopes against the windows point out significant landmarks across the city. The "Edge" capsule is a total gimmick and I'd highly recommend skipping it, total waste of time for $12/head.
