We purchased a lot and contacted Brian Meiste because of his reputation for building a quality home. The design process went smoothly, he assigned us a top notch designer to assist us in choosing finishes. The timelines for the build were all met, and there were no surprises. We have been impressed with our home - it's well built, energy efficient, and had virtually zero issues. We always felt that Brian put our satisfaction first; he did not cut corners, and almost three years later we remain totally satisfied with our home.
THE DECISION: We are very happy we chose Meiste Homes to build our custom home! We knew we wanted to build on raw land and we had a rough sketch/idea of a floor plan. We had been meeting with a different builder, but we still had so many questions. We decided to call Meiste Homes. Amber answered our call and was very easy to talk with and answered several questions we had. She then set up an appointment for us to meet with Brian. After one phone call with Amber and one meeting with Brian, we had more answers than we had received after multiple meetings with the other builder. Brian was very upfront with us about costs when dealing with raw land and he gave us a few things to consider for the type of home we were thinking about building (from both a budget and a function perspective). At that point, the decision to go with Meiste Homes was an easy one...we knew we had found our builder!
GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND: My fiance and I each had a home to sell. Brian gave us suggestions for realtors as well as banks...he even gave us a couple of recommendations for architects who could help us formalize our floor plan and elevation drawings. All of his suggestions worked out well and we were grateful for the recommendations as it saved us a lot of time from having to research all of that on our own.
OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Building a home can be stressful, but the whole team at Meiste (Brian, Amber, Abbey, Kevin, Garry, Heidi and Zach) worked hard to make sure we were comfortable with the process and they used their depth of experience to ensure we ended up with a quality home. They do make you feel like you are part of a family...they care about your home and it shows in their work...and it shows in the subs they select too! I would absolutely recommend them (and have!) to anyone looking to start the process of building a custom home!

Meiste Homes made our dreams a reality! From the moment we met them, they were unpretentious and welcoming. Amber was so warm and friendly, that we felt as if we were home from the first day thatwe walked in. Brian Meiste listened to every word of what we wanted and he and his team made it happen. Our project managers, Kevin and Zach, managed the sub contractors extremely well. Everything was done in a high-quality manner. Our design consultants, Abbey and Heidi, are very talented - we so enjoyed working with them. They have a great eye for detail and design that was in sync with what we had envisioned. After we moved in, the team continued to follow up on our punch list items, which are few. Overall, we couldn t be happier in our new home and are so thankful that we chose Meiste over other builders that we could have chosen.
