The best consert and conference Hall in Greece(Hellas).You can hear classical symphonies and classical music(all eras)performed from ATHENS STATE ORCHESTRA.
Some periods there are also selected music events and shows ( world music and musicians).
I had the opportunity to visit this magnificent place because of a congress. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It's huge and well equipped. Also, it's located in the centre of Athens.
Visited yesterday for the Theater Awards by athinorama. Such a lovely place, people and of course the ceremony!!
Beautiful concert hall at the centre of Athens city. The place is easy accessible by metro. Live concerts at the indoor area (the sound is great), but also at the outdoor area which is a beautiful park. Variety of live performances(i.e. dancing), musical events and artists exhbitions.
A unique cultural center in the heart of Athens with great programs and events including conferences, operas, ballets, exhibitions. It s a must do if you manage to find something that interests you. (in that case do not neglect to book tickets way in advance). Apart from that, the building is way to big, difficult to navigate into and does not worth your time visiting it only to see it. Fun fact: it still hasn t made up for the cost that was needed for it to be built.
The place is excellent, very modern, the halls are multiple inside as well as can accommodate a huge audience. There are multiple cafeterias inside and shops too. They also host different live broadcasts of English plays especially from the National Theatre Live. It's truly a nice experience to just sit relax and enjoy the performance.
The Athens Megaron is still a fine concert hall. It has given us in the past true experience in fine music. I am always happy to visit it.
The sheer scope of this performance space is impressive. I visited during the Athens Digital Art Exposition, which made good use of the many levels and spaces in this complex. The event ended with an all-night techno dance party in the Banquet Hall, which I would recommend they do more often, because it was better than being in any nightclub.
