Worst Ambulance service ever. First of all the driver who was transporting my 4 year old son never used turn signals cut across 3 lanes of traffic without signaling or giving a damn about who was in the ambulance. Then to top it off the ambulance driver took the longest route possible due to the fact they get paid off of mileage. Terrible experience and never again.I ll transport my own son next time from hospital to hospital at least I know where I m going and how to drive. I witnessed it all my wife was in the back of the ambulance and I was following in my truck. Bums I hope you guys go bankrupt or get sued.

My father is alive today because of Medstar. The Mt. Clemens firemen wanted to make him walk from his house to the sidewalk, and the Medstar guy and gal insisted that do their work up in the house, and then brought the gurney into the house to carry him out after they gave him and IV and medication (while the firemen stood around and giggled.) We found out that my Dad had 90% occlusion of two vessels in his heart, and the doctor said making him walk that far with chest pain would have probably killed him. Our family had Christmas with my Dad this year because of Medstar. There is no higher praise that I can give.

Last night I was in need of medical assistance. Medstar and Clinton Township FD showed up. I was impressed by the compassion exuded by everyone there. I was not able to get names of ther Medstar employees but there was a blonde female with tattoos and a man with dark hair and wore glasses. I was treated with the utmost respect by those two. I would highly recommend them for services.
Just an f.y.i to everyone. These people are human. They have feelings. Maybe just before picking you up for your ingrown nail they had a horrible call. ( someone's husband died in front of the family, they ride up on an accident where there was serious bloodshed) They see things we couldn't fathom. Before leaving a bad review try to look at the big picture. Empathy goes a long way.
Thank you Medstar. I truly appreciate you. Stay safe.

I am an ICU nurse at a "large hospital" in Cleveland, OH, and was in McComb Township Michigan to help a former co-worker prepare for a move. While packing her home, her mother had a severe anaphylactic reaction, and was beginning to lose her airway. I was very impressed with the men from Medstar who treated her. They were there quickly, worked very well together, and within a few minutes had an IV started and medication delivered. Their conversation (between themselves) about the next steps if her airway closed were spot on, and although I was still concerned about her, I knew that her care was exactly as it should be.

To their credit, and something that is not seen enough in healthcare today, they talked to her the whole time, calmed her down, told her exactly what was happening and what they were doing for her.

I worked in the ED at Beaumont for 14 years prior to moving to the CC, and the crew from Medstar is the best I've seen.

Nate and Tristan were marvelous even in the middle of a three day 16 hour shift. They saved my life Saturday, March 21. The two EMTs were professional and very supportive and endearing. Stars of the day helping people.

I pd the $36.34 bill. It has already been realized. I got the bill 7/29 and its 8/7. Your billing office sux. In these times there oughta be a law. I wouldn't have minded a "2nd notice" but a past due bill on a service I never would've needed if HFH urgent care had had their act together!
I don't think so.

They only do transport in Mount Clemens? City seems to think a Taxi with Lights, is close enough to Mcclaren Trauma Center. People are dying, Medstar doesn't seem to know CPR, or have life saving equipment? We have qualified Fire Fighters that would do so much more, for us!

I just wanted to share about our bad experience from this company. We called 911 and they are the ambulance that came but refused to take my 79 y/o Mom to the hospital when she had the COVID because they said she's not too sick without properly assessing my Mom's condition. My Mom got even worst with her breathing, her SPO2 goes down to 85-87% as soon as she moves and can't breath and really weak after several hours that we have to call 911 again and thank God it was a different company that came and took my Mom to the hospital right away. I had COVID and sick at that time too. My husband is a Nurse and got sick first from work (that's why we all got sick at home) and was in the hospital already that time. Then, I wasn't getting any better staying at home for 11 days fighting the COVID and so I have to call 911 also for myself because I was having short of breath, on and off fever and my heart was 129 bpm already. I felt weak and couldn't sleep. Unfortunately, it was Medstar Ambulance that came again and refused to take me to the hospital because they think I wasn't too sick. I just beg them to take me because I know what I'm feeling. I was alone at home and I can feel it I'm not getting better at all and continue to get worst and needs to go to the hospital. The EMT said that they will take me but the hospital will just send me home. They finally took me but I heard him reporting to the hospital personnel that I'm not too sick and I should be sent home. I waited for hours in the ER because I know and felt it, it was because of what he reported that I'm not too sick and so I was not prioritized but at least finally one doctor did a complete assessment and concluded that I'm not safe to send home and needed to be admitted. Medstar Ambulance charged my insurance for more than $730 plus I have to pay copay and when I called them about the bad service I received, they even are rude. I hope this will help people to be aware and ask when you need to call 911 if possible to get ambulance service from other company and never from Medstar Ambulance.
