Very professional people at the front desk and were able to get me an appointment before I was leaving town for a vacation. My experience at Medical Imaging Center in Santa Monica was as good as it gets. The whole staff was friendly and knowledgable. I was taken in for my appointment on time and was finished up with my mammography within 30 minutes. The technician was very sweet and made me feel comfortable right away. I recommend this location to everyone in the Santa Monica area.
Louie - my MRI technician was awesome. I had pretty gnarly panic attack two minutes in and I was really embarrassed. He was so great. He pulled me out of the machine immediately and helped calm me down. He got me some water and we sat for a few minutes and talked, so I could calm down and relax. He said let's give it one more try. He added a mirror to the face cage, so I could see a screen of calming images at the other end of the machine tube and it totally helped me relax and make it through the next 30 minutes. I arrived five minutes before my scheduled appointment. I was taken within ten minutes and there was no fuss, no bother. My only complaint is that there is not enough space in the waiting room to stay away from other people.
I'm a big guy, and the first MRI was in the larger unit which was just fine, but then after injecting the contrast I got shoved into the smaller MRI unit. For some reason there was an overlap of booking and I got shoved into this older unit. I'm not claustrophobic, but this made me so. It was so snug I couldn't take a deep breath. Neat place, but if you are a bigger person, you need to make sure the right equipment is available.
I want to personally thank your team for the exceptional care I received at your office. My mom died of breast cancer when I was young, so I know how important annual check-ups are, but I avoided getting suggested bi-annual mammograms after a very traumatic experience at another facility years ago. You took an incredibly anxious and emotional moment for me and made me feel supported, comfortable, and strong. It brings me to tears writing this because I don't think you will ever understand how much your willingness to listen and be flexible (they allowed me to conduct my mammogram in a seated position) meant to me and the future of staying on top of my mammograms. I wish I had remembered each of your names to thank you individually, but your entire team was amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The nurse who did my mamogram was terrific. She was sensitive, careful not to hurt me and funny. I had a very good experience. Wish I could remember her name cause I would request her for next time.

I've always had positive experiences at Medical Imaging. The women who work there are kind and compassionate. They make the testing easier by their expertise and emotional support. The rooms have beautiful art on the walls and chandeliers hang from the ceilings. I especially loved this painting which made me feel the presence of an angel.
