Medic Regional Blood Center Review

Medic Regional Blood Center is an incredible place! The donation process is easy. The staff are always amazing! And it's an incredible way to help save lives!

I have donated with Medic for almost 20yrs now. I have given at their mobile units as well as at the centers. One thing in common are the friendly staff. I have never laughter so much as with the staff out at the West Knoxville/ Faragut location.

I ve been donating blood at Medic since I moved to the area 10 years ago. The staff is always great and conscious of my time. I think it s the least that I can do to help others in need. I would hate to think that someone needed blood and I didn t donate.

The folks in the donor center are always amazing. Friendly and smiling. Constantly checking up on you to make sure you have everything you need (blankets, tums, tv remotes, etc ).

I have been donating platelets regularly for the past 4 years at Medic. Everyone there is always nice, professional and are constantly checking on you to see if you need anything. Great people.

I had a very positive experience when I donated at the Medic center in West Knoxville. All personnel were very friendly and professional. They thanked me over and over for coming in to donate. I have donated nearly five gallons with Medic. They called and needed my blood type, A+. I went in and they didn t have my appointment I made online, but they saw me and I did not have to wait. The facility was very clean and the staff was fun. The needle stick was very easy. It was a fun atmosphere. I felt very good about going. They practiced safe procedures in this time of COVID 19, and that was good! I was in and out within 45 minutes. I was thanked at least five times by the staff. I got snacks and two small sodas to take with me. I always keep bottled water in my car. It s very important to stay hydrated after donating and eat a good meal before going.
This place is super clean and safe. I will go again. Summer months are a critical time to donate plasma. You will have your immediate family protected if they need blood and you will be giving the gift of life! Just do it!

After 35 years of donating, I've finally surpassed my 7 gallon-mark. I have always been pleased with the competency of Medic's staff, as well as their friendliness and willingness to expedite things when I've been pressed for time. 5 stars +

My experience with various medic blood drives is usually positive except one or two minor problems. However I continue to donate to them whenever I can.

Always smooth sailing. From the courtesy of the staff to the technique used by the phlebotomists, never had any problems. Never even had a bruise, and they've never missed my vein. Sure, there are those pesky embarrassing questions for the protection of the blood recipients; sure, there are occasionally tired workers after a long day of dealing with various donors... comes with the environment. Doesn't even make me think twice about coming back 4-6 times per year to help save lives.

I've been giving blood forever until recently. I'm now taking a medicine that precludes me from giving but I talked my wife into giving and she did. Matter of fact, she's giving again today! She had always been scared of needles but she knows how much it means to me to give.

The staff at MEDIC is always professional and friendly. Donating your blood is a great way to give back to the community - and with the free t-shirt and coupons and snacks, it s also a great deal. :)

Medic has been great to donate blood to. I had always given blood to the American Red Cross and was surprised to learn that was not the case in East Tennessee. But having donated to Medic three times now since I have moved to the area, I have had a great experience each time. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I have given blood for quite a few years. Get my extra tee shirt every year for giving 4+ times per year. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. Giving blood is something one can do that is so very easy and helps the community so very much.

I have donated with Medic for over 25 years. They always make it convenient and fast. Their staff are kind and professional and always very appreciative that I took my time to give to others. Recently my wife needed a couple of pints of blood as she was going through chemo treatments for breast cancer. I never received a bill for that. Thank you, Medic, for all you do for so many here in East Tennessee.

Absolutely hands down the crankiest , rude, I hate my job attitude and totally unpleasant women I have ever dealt with. I recently was diagnosed with a condition called hemochromatosis. The treatment plan is to donate blood every so often to lower the Iron levels in my blood. These two acted like I had every item on their can not donate list. I will drive out of my way to keep from dealing with the unprofessional staff at Medic on Ailor ave. in Knoxville. If you work there and are a decent person I'm sorry that you have these two employed at your location.

I didn't start donating blood till I was in my 40's. Your employee's make the experience pleasing and make me want to be a return customer.

Great service and friendly people, I had an incident where I got light headed and dizzy, and they were very quick to respond to me and treat me.

They always do a great job! Very impressed with their off-site donation services as well.

I have given to Medic for 15+ years and overall have always been attended to by great folks. They often put in very long hours, with distant travel. It's a way to share with those in need. I wish more would become donors. Medic would periodically come to our work place, so it was easy to donate.

I jokingly tell them the only reason I do it is for those free Little Debbie cakes, but the truth is, how many times in your life do you have the chance to possibly help save someone's life? MEDIC will give you that chance every 56 days.

This place is great in the evenings after work. They stay open late enough for me to work all day and they're always very nice. I would highly recommend this one in the evenings.

Always courteous and grateful for your donation, I had been going to the mobile unit at Pellissippi State until I retired. I now go to the office on Kingston Pike and I have even talked my husband into donating.
