Wanted to charge $15 to change a watch strap and service was not friendly. At least the job was done without any issues.

Edit: I don't rate this highly because the service was not friendly AND they wanted to charge $15 to change a watch strap, which is a 2-minute job.

Disappointing. I paid $380 at the start of the year to service my grandad s watch. Recently the watch dial came loose. They wanted to charge me $120 to fix it + 4 week wait. Not covered by warranty. Go somewhere else.

Went to replace the battery for my GShock. The technician mentioned that he can replace the batteries without issue . Later when I went to collect the GShock, it is working but the technician mentioned that he does not know how to reset the time etc as GShock has different models with different settings which was a huge surprise - watch technician doesn't know how to reset the time!!!

Now the question is What confidence do I have on this shop which specialised on watch repair, and they haven t messed up with other settings of my GShock . Just worried .only time will tell.

Other than above, great staff, friendly and quick service.

The watch lab communicated promptly and fixed my watch band so efficiently. They fixed it after it had been damaged by another watch repairer. All this at no charge for me. I would highly recommend them to repair your watch.

Really lovely service, changed the battery but when my watch still didn't work they gave me a refund. Even though they had already used a brand new battery. Great service! Highly recommended!

I dropped in my husband s tissot watch for replacement of the dial. The watch was a few months old and had no other problems. Paid $140 for replacement but once my husband starting wearing it near water, eg washing his hands, the face would fog up. I took it back to be fixed free of charge. When I picked it up I was told it was tested to be water resistant. The problem remained, the dial stopped working all together and we found it had rusted on the inside.
I then took the watch to the swatch group repairs shop where they do official repairs for tissot and had to pay $270 for a full repair as they reported that the case back had not been fitted properly by the watch group which led to the issues with the dial and the water damage.
I ll never go here again. Save your money!!

I chose this place because they had many good reviews, however I wish I didn't. One of the number markers on my beautiful Orient automatic watch's face had come off and was floating around within the dial.. a simple cosmetic fix. I took it here and the grumpy sales man told me it would take him a week to repair. A week? For a ten minute minor cosmetic operation?? I asked if there was any way they could finish it quickly as I was only in Melbourne for another day and he told me to come back later on, which I did, the number was repaired and the watch seemed fine. What I didn't realise at the time was that the internal mechanism now had a suspicious rattle, and a week later now my precious watch has stopped completely which is going to be extremely expensive and time consuming to repair. I don't know how simply opening the face to replace a number on the dial would have any effect on the internal mechanism of my watch.. But it was fine before I took it there and it's certainly not fine now. Very upset about this.

I visited The Watch Lab since I've read positive reviews, I simply asked for a quote for repairing my old Jean Richard timepiece. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me insolently.

I showed him my watch and explained the issues which comprised of a cracked acrylic crystal, loose crown and a misaligned minute hand. I mentioned it was an automatic movement, he replied in a hostile manner, "Movement... What do you mean by movement?" Then he contentiously pointed out the issues which I had already mentioned and he was frustrated saying I did not point out the issues... Which I did at the beginning...

He then quoted me $60 to replace the crystal and $25 to fix the minute hand; I was very reluctant at this point, I'm sure they are capable but I was very despondent from the "customer service".

I needed a repair to my watch and went to a different repairers. I was quoted $400 and decided to buy another watch. 12 months later I had not found a new watch I liked so I came here for a quote. I was quoted and charged $180. That was 6 weeks ago. The watch is working perfectly. Great value. I strongly recommend.

Left a vintage watch for some minor cosmetic repairs - work done was satisfactory but the case, movement and hands were poorly treated and damaged as a result. Luckily the manufacturer of the watch had a local technician who could fix this damage. The Watch Lab would be fine for changing a battery or a strap, but I highly recommend avoiding them for more significant work or engaging with an expensive/treasured timepiece.
