I just want to say I am very impressed. The plant came in excellent condition, as described. The packaging is phenomenal. I have ordered from at least 5 nurseries, and this was the quickest delivery, best condition, and sturdiest packaging of any. I reached out to customer service and got quick, polite response from a human. Again, this is the best online nursery experience I have had. I would highly recommend, and will be a continued customer. Well done!

I bought 4 Grape Expectations Heuchera and 2 Patriot Hostas. They all arrived perfectly healthy thanks to careful packaging. The shipping process was very fast and almost no wait time. Good job guys!

I got 4 Nanking Cherry trees and ONe North Star Ch...

I got 4 Nanking Cherry trees and ONe North Star Cherry tree.
The Nanking cherry bushes are doing fine and growing again this spring.
The North Star tree never leafed out and seemed dead on arrival.
I was very disappointed, but I did not let them know right away so I could not get a refund.
I can't say they aren't a good company, only that I'm sad that my cherry tree was a waste.

We spent approximately $15K on landscaping and had 4 evergreen trees installed in July of 2019. This is what they look like. McKay returned in 2020, replacing all 4 dead trees which died again so we reached out to them SEVENTEEN times asking they replace these dead trees after expressing concern with replacement product (see image flagged with orange tape) Their response to our BBB complaint? They've provided the "utmost customer service". We're out $1K in trees & have to pay to have them removed & replaced. Thanks bully McKay.

I purchased shrubs late in the planting season (June), nanking cherry and 2 serviceberries. I was curious as to why or how this company could offer plant material that is best shipped and planted while dormant. Cutting to the chase: the plants arrived quickly and grew beautifully! They arrived still dormant and I suspect that the company keeps them refrigerated until shipping. I'm very happy with the product and the responsive service, not to mention the miracle of plant availability after April! I will definitely be a returning customer.

I have ordered many trees, hedges, plants and other perennials from McKay since we purchased our home last year and completely replaced the landscaping. Since the first delivery we have bought from them exclusively, and we will continue to do so because of the high quality of their products, their competitive pricing, and the quality and attentiveness of their staff (and Tom in particular). I highly recommend McKay for all of your planting needs.

What a great website for clear and easy plant purchases. We own a winery and brewery and as we're expanding, we are excited to do more landscaping. I knew what I wanted and found as I browsed in the many nursery websites, some didn't have good pictures and some were difficult for me to navigate. I confess to being weak with my internet skills. McKay Nursery's site was as I said, easy for me to use. I will send another review once I get the plants and put them into the ground.

Having signed the contract and paid a deposit in March, the expectation was that I would have an oasis as we moved into the summer of the pandemic. That was not the case.

I required a full excavation of my entire yard prior to the work commencing. Even before signing my contract, I asked my consultant to confirm that the amount of soil that needed to be excavated was something that McKay could handle - I was told that they could.
A few weeks after I signed the contract - I was told that McKay could NOT do the full excavation. It was communicated to me before I, that McKay expected me to pay for 2 companies to excavate my lawn - once to level it off and once to allow McKay in for their hardscape. I was able to get McKay to work with the excavator so that I only had to have 1 company come in.
I was told by McKay to have my yard excavated prior to June 8th. June 8th was the date they committed to, in writing, at the end of May. Once the yard was excavated - I was told that the June 8th date was only in my mind because they didn't have me on the calendar - although even as early as March - we had estimated that work would begin at the start of June.

In the interim, I was able to proceed with a concrete addition on my driveway; the entire time contacting my consultant to let him know what was going on.
I was told that McKay would come at the end of June. When I called at the end of June, I was given the date of mid-July as a project start. When I reached out in mid-July, I was told that the equipment had been allocated for a larger commercial job and that they hoped to get to me by the end of July.
When I reached out at the end of July, I was told that the project was scheduled for "the week of August 8th".
At this point - I cancelled the project.

I had a signed contract (with paid deposit) in March. The contract reads, "first paid, first served" -- this was not my experience and I will make sure to let everyone I know about the colossal lack of follow-through, communication and customer service.

For my troubles, McKay charged ME for restocking and when I brought all of the above to their attention, I got the usual "McKay Special" - complete silence.....

At this time - more than any - companies should provide exceptional customer service - or at least MINIMAL communication with REALISTIC expectations. McKay failed
