Went to see Pink Martini. Parked in the train station parking lot. Shuttle van to and from the theater. Great sound, concert and ushers.

Went to see A Christmas Carol and the production was impeccable. They were able to bring out such raw emotion in scene sequences and the costumes were magnificent. I loved everything from their organization to the show itself. If you are a fan of the Arts and love giving back to the community, this is a great activity for couples and family alike.
Great little theater, excellent show, friendly staff!
Good place for a music or theatrical show. They have a good selection of artists and troupes coming through
"A Christmas Carol" (2016) was a great production. I would like to see others shows they put on.
Awesome theatrical experience. Professional, courteous staff.
Beautiful venue with great acoustics.
I've been to a mcCarter half a dozen times and have never been disappointed. There are plenty of friendly volunteers to help you. Free parking garage within a five minute walk. The lines for concessions and rest rooms are long as in any theater. I would highly reccomend.
.
Very professional, friendly, and clean theatre. All the shows are first rate and the seating allows for optimal enjoyment.
The smaller theater behind main theater was very intimate.
A wonderful experience! I will highly recommend seeing a show at this incredible theater.
Beautiful theater. Great production. But No leg room. Common with most theaters
Great productions. It's just like seeing a Broadway show right here in Princeton. Christmas Carol is an annual holiday tradition. The sets are gorgeous.
I have been lucky enough to have attended performances at McCarter Theatre since I was eleven years old. I am now 43, and my father and I still have a seasonal subscription to McCarter.
Love A Christmas Carol. See it every year because it is a holiday tradition.
The staff is always friendly and helpful and the Productions are always spectacular!
Theater is good but parking is terrible. Prices not bad for professional quality productions.
Great show, great reusable wine lids, not handicapped accessible.
Great theatre. Just the right size, everyone has a great seat.
Never had a bad experience there either at camp or at a show.
Good production. Attempt to link it to current politics diminished it. It's universal, not narrow.
The seating is comfortable and the stage feels intimate even though the space is fairly large
Great place, I saw Joel and the gang from Mystery Science Theatre here back in 2014. Was a blast. Princeton is a beautiful town.
Enjoyed the play tremendously.
Parking is a nightmare and the restrooms are so inconveniently located.
Love Princeton for starters. Terrific to have Broadway show quality without the NYC hassle! Very nice bar with decent food choices.
McCarter Theatre is a quality venue with not a bad seat in the house. I have seen plays and shows of various venues. The shows have always been of high quality. I recommend this Theatre.
Parking is free in the deck but, it is a walk so be prepared for the weather. Any other parking is on the street and needs to be paid for before 8pm 7 days a week. Payment is only via an app or automated machine.
Excellent performances and stage atmosphere. Student prices are a steal too!
Great venue, comfortable seating, nice on-site cafe, affordable hours. Parking is the best by the train station, free after 7 PM, or even earlier.
Beautiful charming theatre in the heart of Princeton. Non-profit theatre, with professional actors and quality productions. Various types of shows, progressive and socially conscious programming. If in the area, definitely worth the visit!
Excellent shows put on in this theater. Parking is limited close to the theater unless you are lucky to get a street spot. Most of the time you have to park in the garage behind the Wawa and walk. Not that bad if you are young and fit and have a good coat in the winter. (No place to check your coat in the theater however - unless I just haven't found it in the last 20 years). There are numerous after school programs for kids interested in acting. Good place to see Chinese Acrobats, David Sedaris, and Christmas Carol, although the redesign of Christmas Carol is sorely missing the amazing dance scene at Fezziwigs from the 2006-2014 version.
Great venue and helpful staff. Love that they do sensory friendly performances
There are balcony seats but no elevator. (They were gracious enough to swap out tickets for house seats in the orchestra.) C'mon folks, this is 2020. Also, parking is still problematical. Great show, though.
Great, top-flight performers appear here regularly. Intimate setting
We saw A Christmas Carole. It was great! I would go see it again. The facility itself was perfectly laid.out and there was zero confusion of where to go. We parked down the road a little but it wasn't a terrible walk.
My first time there and had a great time. Plenty of room in the seats!
Attended opening night for The Princeton Festival production of Madama Butterfly. The set was breathtaking, the orchestra perfection, the costumes were dazzling, and the singing glorious. Bravi, tutti!!!
Saw a performance of Frankenstein and it was excellent! A lot of setup in the first act and great action in the second. Really enjoyed it. They also always have an incredible performance of A Christmas Carol that doesn't leave a dry eye in the audience. Beautiful venue and exceptional artistry.
The plays are amazing here . So well written and performed. I love going every year to see a Christmas Carol
Great theater. Durang play last night a little too weird, even for Durang.
Cozy and very well equipped theater with good actors
It was great show, everyone remembered their parts and the enthusiasm was great. The effects the timing absolutely perfect
Cozy auditorium in the heart of Princeton. Parking is close at West garage. With nearby restaurant and close to downtown, excellent place to spend time for concerts. The auditorium is clean and staff is friendly. Only issue is seats have tight legroom.
We enjoyed seeing the opening of Detroit 67 here tonight. First time here. Beautiful space and grounds.
Quality performances at a reasonable price.
High class. Good people. Suggestions, Need to upgrade seating.
Great performance. Detroit 67. And very friendly and helpful staff.
Every time I go, I regret not going more. A great regional theater with very well done productions.
Saw Madame Butterfly at the Matthew's Theater. Excellent performance in an intimate theater. Have a glass of wine in their cafe while you wait. Be aware, no elevators to the upper level!
As a performing arts venue and cultural institution, McCarter knows what it is doing and what its goals are, and does so incredibly well. The range of programming, community events, educational opportunities, etc. are endless. Having the hub of Downtown Princeton just streets away and being connected to the University is wonderful. Highly recommended trip to make to the theater, be it in the smaller Berlind theatre or the large Matthews theatre, there is almost always something exciting happening!
The theatre and show there was a great time and people who work there are very polite. I highly recommend this theatre for shows and events.
I've been a few times with family for the yearly Christmas Carol performance, and it's always excellent. From what I've seen they have some other interesting new shows and classics as well year round.
This is one of my favorite places to see theatre in the country. They do poignant, timely pieces that reflect the times. Both spaces are beautiful and comfortable. I've seen plays in the Berlind and large scale productions like "A Christmas Carol" in the Matthews. My whole family attended a sensory friendly performance of "A Christmas Carol" in December and it was a really great experience. So glad theatres like McCarter are making the arts accessible to everyone!
Very nice theather. If you find the presentation you will like to see ,this is the place to see it. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. Plus you can enjoy of all the fun things to do in the Princeton area.
Much more intimate atmosphere vs NYC. Actors are top notch.
Nice theater with good night lines. Day in last row of balcony and it was fine.
We went to see the Christmas Carol show here. It was a great experience.
I've been a lifelong fan of the work that McCarter does.
The show was very well done. The voices were completely understandable. The seats were good too. Keep up the good work!
Good shows.. parking can be a problem, go bit early.
The layout design is welcoming and the space is very clean.
Great production of a Christmas Carroll. Theater personnell in period made it even more fun. Great stage changes and special effects
Unbelievable and wonderful production of Dicken's A Christmas Carol
Princeton's main arts emporium. Good selection of acts
Every show at McCarter is great! They never fail to do a terrific job. The productions are always top notch! Just saw "Potted Potter" on Saturday. It was a blast!
I have lost count of how many shows I've seen in this theatre. It's sized "just right".
