AWESOME place to take the kids for a break in the winter!!

A Wonderful place. I absolutely love going to the library on almost a daily basis because of the environment and also because of the people. The staff are an absolute joy to be around. All of the staff are accommodating and make sure to get you exactly what you need within reason. The fines are low and even when you accumulate a large fine they make sure that you are aware of the options and programs available to you to help decrease your fines. They have a wonderful selection of new and old books, movies and magazines. They also provide laptops for you to browse the internet. Also available to you are audio books, either on cd or via an mp3 player. I recommend highly to anyone to go to the library and have a wonderful experience!

Young kid has a lot of fun in the upstairs kid section. A great resource for our community. When they don't have a book, they are very willing to bring it in from another source.

Great selection of DVDs, manga, comics, and books. Plus printing and online resources!

Beautiful Library..Staff is very helpful and polite..If they don't have it the can get it!!

When i was still in Mattoon i would go there and use the Computers Very Friendly Staff

I have always loved the Mattoon Public Library. Today I enjoyed taking my Grandson there. They are always friendly and helpful. My Grandson will enjoy taking part in the Summer Reading Club, starting June 7.
