My wife and I moved into a property in Levant, ME in June. We were told prior to moving in that they hire professional cleaners who clean the apartment and use black lights to ensure no prior pet hair, dander ect. would be present when we moved in. We have a small child and both my wife, and my child have allergies. We move in and there is black dog hair all over the apartment floors. I submit a maintenance ticket as that is the only way to communicate with them along with pictures showing the black dog hair all over the apartment. Their response was basically oh well too bad. I can certainly post the pictures with their response if anyone is interested. This is Marsh Property Management. Then there is a leak above the door which we also noted. Nothing has been done about that either. If all of that wasn't bad enough there are ticks crawling on the outside of our windows. Now we have since treated the property ourselves after maintenance told us there was nothing, they could do about that either. But in addition, we have small, tiny jumping black bugs inside the property on both the downstairs and upstairs rooms. They also have done nothing about this. What pisses me off is we pay 1800 a month. You don't tell prospective tenants you are going to ensure professional cleaning is done due to a prior tenant having a pet, then don't even bother to clean the apartment at all. Then to not fix what appears to be an expanding leak with the bug infestation is crazy. Their answer is oh well too bad and you fix it. Unfortunately, I am going to have to get other parties involved. But please do not rent from them or if you do make sure you watch out for anything you are told prior to signing the lease. I am a real person, and I pay my rent on time. Also, I gave them plenty of opportunities to respond to my complaints after uploading pictures. They have not responded.
