Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel Review

A nice hotel in the center of the city. Good restaurants and lounges in the property.

Nyc & njyng place.. Pub is designed very beautifully & has a nyc crowd. The interior of the hotel is iconic..

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Only stayed one night but the room was nice and so was the lobby. The hotel is in a good location and was only a short distance to the airport.

This hotel is placed at one of the best locations in Doha.

Pleasant hotel. Spacious and comfortable rooms with courteous and attentive staff. Several restaurants are nearby as well as a shopping center.

This hotel is very good even though it lacks any characteristics that would distinguish it from other large, Gulf-region hotels. Breakfast in the Business Lounge consists of a limited but good buffet. My room was clean, and the daily service was good. The staff did not bother me with excessive offers of assistance. This place seems to be pretty serious about non-smoking areas, which is great.

4 weeks and counting and they haven't missed a beat. Great gym, great restaurant options. Spacious rooms with excellent service. Things are expensive but it's downtown doha so to be expected.

I m frequently traveling to Doha for business and was staying at this hotel so far. That s something I will change next time.

Some stuff is very helpful (e.g. Oksana at the front desk)

If you travel for business and would like to have a video or any other conference via wifi in the hotel...
Forget it! Not possible!
Stuff at the front desk will put you thru to the internet provider to clarify the issues instead of taking care by themselves. For this I would rate the hotel -5 stars if I could.
The rooms are very noisy. In case you are a light sleeper, avoid this hotel. You can hear the traffic from any floor at any side of the hotel. Ive been here couple times and without the earplugs its impossible to sleep.

Being this said, I would not recommend this hotel for business purposes!

Great option for breakfast on weekend. Friendly staff. Close to shops.

Nice Ambiance, seating could be better, price was reasonable. Limited vegetarian options, however, they will cook based on your preferences.
Taste was good, but could have been better. Quattro Formaggi pizza was almost like Margarita pizza and you can't taste the difference cheeze flavours. Service is a little slow, and the staff could have been more hospitable, given the restaurant is in a five star hotel.
Overall the experience was 'ok'.

Impressive hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Connected to a mall which is convenient. No complaints really except that the room is a bit dated. Cleaner left me a sponge. Hahaha...

Go for it if you like classic old hotels.. staff should be placed in a better quality hotel.

Fantastic hotel, right in the centre of Doha. All the personnel was very helpful and very nice, and they let us stay a bit longer in the room so that we could refresh after visiting Doha. I wouldn t stay anywhere else in doha, and will definitely come back if I have a long layover with Qatar Airways!

We had lunch at the Italian rectaurant inside the hotel just as we were about to say goodbye to Doha. The food the food the food. The flavours just pop in your mouth. We loved the food and the calmness of the place. Good restaurant and great standards.

Very poor effort.
Cold breakfast despite booking the night before. No table available in the morning and breakfast took 2 hrs to be served.
Nit so much as a tea or juice served without asking after having sat for 45 minutes.

very good well furnished and latest all of technological facilities are there.i was attend on conference and Dinner there, very co operative and nice staff behavior also i saw almost all of ultra modern facilities is there, foods also very tasty and many menus.

Big high-rise hotel in Doha's city center. Perfect for weekend shopping getaways as the hotel is connected to a big mall. There are two towers in the hotel, with TWO executive lounges. Between the towers you can find a nice pool area and a spa facility. Rooms are well-maintained and spacious, though not the most modern out there. Very friendly service everywhere, from the front lobby to the lounge.

It good. I was there during Ramadon so most of the restaurants we're closed but the food was good.

Worse experience by far in 29 years
A new general manager took over and trying to increase his profit by pushing people away .
In any business you increase profit by welcoming guests and marketing .
His idea of profit is not accepting marriott/starwood/spg discounts . He is requesting proof of relation to any family member of the guest like a birth certificate . First of all thats illegal and against marriott policy . Marriott international has been contacted and a lawsuit is in process after i was denied my room that i booked 30 days in advanced and was never told of any illegal requirements in advanced , i was told at the front desk ( disgusting ) . I had to go find another sister company at 4 am . Im along term stay and i found another hotel close to them . Couple of days later i went in to the champions restaurant to get some food and wanted to use my SPG discount and i was denied again saying that SPG is only for rooms but on the receipt it indicated SPG number discount . This hotel needs to get investigated by marriott .
