Marriott Hotel York Review

Had a really good stay here when visiting York for work during lockdown. Great breakfast brought to the room. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in the grandstand room, overlooking the racecourse, with a balcony. The rooms are spacious, but they need updating into modern accommodation. No sockets at side of bed, the lighting is poor, all lamps, no ceiling lights, carpets and bedding are very worn. Breakfast was great, all covid restrictions in place, reception staff helpful.

Nice Hotel with plenty of great amenities, pool, fitness suite and treatments available.
Staff were all very friendly and attentive, food in the restaurant was lovely, we had dinner and breakfast during our stay.
COVID-19 precautions are well planned and work well without being a nuisance.
Rooms are a little dated furniture wise, but clean and very comfortable.

Had a lovely stay here Friday & Saturday 11th & 12th September 2020 the breakfast was so tasty & well presented eggs cooked just how we like them & the lovely lady behind the breakfast counter was so helpful. We felt very safe & the whole hotel was very covid friendly thank you. A lovely place to visit in York is the national railway museum & best of all its FREE

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were great. The pool was fantastic. However we did not have the breakfasts as they were too expensive. Overall good visit. Also one of the chairs in the hotel were torn but brill experience overall.

Definately not 4*! Staff were helpful, breakfast was nice but pricey. we had a room with a balcony overlooking the racecourse which was a nice view but rooms were dated, although spacious. Good social distancing and covid measures in place. Room service was also good

First impression, lovely big hotel with stunning big grounds although it s starting to look out dated.

There are much more modern 2/3 star hotels around now that offer allot more.
The Staff are friendly and follow COVID-19 guidances put in place. The rooms are large but basic, and in definite need of modernising, although the bed was very comfortable.

Food menu looked good on paper, but again sadly nothing more than basic pub food quality and definitely didn t warrant the price I didn t think.... I am here for a few nights so i will see how the rest of the stay goes.

Great hotel, very big bedrooms and massive bathrooms. Unfortunately only essential at the moment but when things open up it will be good

We stayed for one night, Covid restrictions were in place and we felt completely safe and everything was under control. Very friendly staff, great food on the restaurant, great location on York racecourse, and we would definitely stay again.
