Very nice, architectural location, similar to street food. You have a great selection of food stalls. The variations range from oriental, creole, Asian and Indian to Argentinian cuisine (and much more). There are also various small shops with a huge selection of beers, their own ice cream or an organic supermarket and of course a great barista with original Basel coffee. Open late until 10, some even longer. Some stalls sell their rest late at night at very attractive prices. It's worth a visit either way.

The food stalls are not very exciting or cheap. Aruni Thai is good and eisur offers fantastic ice creams and sorbets and tea. The cocktail bar has pretty good mixed drinks and if you like to try different beers you can get a wide assortment at the beer bar, though you can also go across the street and buy from beers of the world in the train station for much less. The Lebanese restaurant is tasty as well.

Very good authentic international cuisine. It has something for every taste. Although even for Switzerland the prices are rather high for food stalls (usually between 15 and 20 CHF for a lunch without drinks)

Several times a year, there are night flea markets. We also wanted to take a look at this. There were many clothes and other smaller things on offer. There was nothing for us what we liked and we absolutely had to have it. Anyone who is hungry will definitely find something to eat there. Divere special dishes caught my eye.

Lots of different stalls with food from all over the world. A bit loud with reverb, so not for people who are sensitive to that. I would recommend Klara. Different acoustics with a little less choice but the same concept.
Very suitable for families, with a slide for the kids.

Absolute horror for concerts! Unfortunately, the organization and sound quality offered leave much to be desired. I have been looking forward to the Patent Ochsner concert for months. The tickets have long been in the bag. When we arrived at the event, we actually had to queue up to exchange the barcode tickets for a cardboard card in business card format. This was then stamped. That in itself is ... don't know ... no words. When we arrived in the hall, the notes rolled over and even when Manilo was singing, it was just porridge ... hard to bear. We ran away during the break because the tone was really the worst thing I've ever heard. When we said goodbye to the security people, it said, but you won't be able to come in ... We didn't want to either. Too bad. 150 sticks in the sand and a nice Christmas stage :-( Never again!

Many occasions to go there: digitec pickups, fresh fruits and vegetables, a drink after work, a brocki during the weekends... It can be very lively at lunch. Don't forget to check the event calendar for the full list of places and activities!
