Marival Resort & Suites| Review

Everything was very good, some of the employees very friendly and others not so much, the food I did not like at all but some things are very rich.

I love everything is everything and I like to go back

Pay for wifi? No thank you. Wifi is available at the lobby IF you negotiate for it and are completely unwilling to pay for it.

It is a very nice place to vacation, has pools and the best, beach with soft sand and the waves are manageable even without knowing how to swim

Excellent service, the truth is that my comment is because my cell phone left it forgotten and the hotel staff were going to leave it to the concierge and I went there to ask for it and it was delivered to me, I know it's the right thing to do, but in many places They do not do the right thing and here they did, thank you very much to the hotel staff

I have stayed at this resort twice. I say besides the food and amenities, it your staff that truly reflects your 4 1/2 star rating 1. Reggie Social Director (outstanding) 2. Restaurants excellent customer service, Eduardo, Antonio and Martin 3. Jennifer at Star Bucks. There are just to many to mention so thanks to them all, God willing I will be back.

Nice rooms residences. There is no beach. If you are Mexican they discriminate against you

Good food, great service, and great rooms. Would highly recommend for family or couples vacation. Not the best all inclusive (see Marival residences in Nuevo Vallarta) but really great. Fun location on the beach with activities for kids and a ton of pools too. Great way to spend a week.

Facilities well, reception badly they do not give you your key until a person wants to sell you something since the room you paid for is not the best they offer you several things as long as you attend a breakfast to sell you something, if you do not accept there they leave you without giving you enough guidance, besides the restaurants of saturated specialties there is no place until three or four days later bartenders waiters animation well meals and drinks well to dry.

This place is a Joke!!! Nasty rooms, room door came apart when we closed it, is very difficult to do laundry you have to get a special coin at front desk for $40 pesos and they are always out of the coins!!! Caulk drains in shower and sink. Annoying worker always chasing us to sell us a time share!!
You need to stayed drunk to enjoyed this place...

Services such as restaurant menus have a very early breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedule that not everyone has the sea is fine, the rooms also seem good to me but you take away even more money than you spend

Been here so far for a little over a day. Having had previous experience at all inclusive resorts in mexico and Dominican, we had a little to compare it to. Everything has been very good. Nice rooms. Very nice main pool. Lots of activities to do. Excellent service from employees. Food has been just average to above average so far. Drinks are all good. This resort is much smaller than some previous places we've visited, yet big enough it doesn't feel small.

Excellent hotel It's the third time I've seen it and I'm always very satisfied

The best service and attention, with any staff you find support. The rooms, the facilities, the food and restaurants, all excellent. There are some exceptions such as making reservations in some restaurants and in others the access is completely denied, only members. If you book directly with the hotel it is more practical and cheaper. I recommend it

It is a good place to spend your holidays and enjoy its gastronomy

If you like land-based cruise-ship experience this is an awesome spot. Good food, ultra-wonderful staff.

Big caveat: I was there by grace of someone's platinum/diamond/unobtanium status. These places thrive on luring you in with a regular experience and then encouraging you to upgrade. For $k's.

But, they do a great job of seeing to your needs and wants. It's really quite wonderful.

The pools, the restaurants with very good food, the air fresheners and the shows that they offer very well, the beach very comfortable.

Lots of things for a family. Not the best for a quiet romantic getaway. Amalfi Italian restaurant was awesome. Great food and service. 1st class. Accommodations were nice, but not fantastic.

Decent resort in Nuevo Vallarta.

Pros: The location was very good. Ocean front was very nice. Rooms were nicely decorated.

Cons: The food was awful. You have to book the restaurants on the Sunday before the week or you'll be out of luck. The service was just ok.

The overall resort experience at Marival was okay however the cheap liquor options and lack of knowledge on mixing drinks was extremely disappointing. The second big no was the lunch option and buffet they were absolutely terrible we tried the buffet one time to never return during our weeklong stay it was so off putting we almost switched resorts.

Bad experience
Nothing recommendable, bad attention at reception.
In restaurants, they never had cutlery, and when they gave them, they were already groped by the boss of waiters who brought them playing in their hands. Terrible service.
In the pool area, you could not leave your things on the beds, because if you

It is an excellent hotel in Nuevo Vallarta to spend a family vacation. Close to many attractions of this wonderful tourist destination such as Puerto Vallarta and just 15 minutes from the international airport. Fully recommended.

Leave a lot to be desired, a basic service but you are charged as 5 stars, there are better hotels at a better price.

The facilities are nices, the pool, restaurant, beach area etc but I found the rooms to be quite average. They could use up some renovations (AC is loud, bathroom is outdated etc, a weird smell when you get in etc) . I would still recommend but it would be a lot nicer if they updated the rooms. Lots of activities and the personal is very nice.

I love it, excellent service, they are all very friendly.

The food is not as bad as the service although the foreigners are better served, they are more attentive to them, the biggest detail is that the waiters are either in the bar or the restaurant to them if they bring drinks or They offer something a la carte and the others do not, they have good hygiene in the room.

This resort was my 9th resort over 13 visits to Mexico. I paid a lot more for this trip than usual as it was for a wedding so I expected more.
1st problem was time share and excursion people, they get you at the airport which is expected but also at the front desk as you are checking in which was not expected.
The 2nd thing was the maids. They kept showing up in our room in the middle of the day or evening for no reason. The room was cleaned in the morning and yet they would knock, open the door and walk in, when they see you are there, they ask if you want your room cleaned? This resort also does not have a privacy lock inside your room to keep anyone with a key out when you are inside the room. Complaining to the concierge did nothing, although they agreed no one should have been coming in the room if no card was on the door. The 3rd issue was the hotel advertises safes in each room which is normal but this resort doesn't actually have enough locks for everyone. I tried to get a lock 4 days in a row as they told me to try every morning but never did get a lock for the safe that fit. I gave up and packed everything around with me which was a pain in the butt.
The food was fine although our party had 2 people get sick with food poisoning from the snack Bar pizza. It sits there under heat lamps for hours and the birds get into the food too, which is gross!
The drinks are about 1/2 an ounce or less per cocktail and are truly awful, and never made the same twice, so I drank water or coffee. No danger of getting rowdy drunks if they can't get drunk. Nice beach, nice pools, nice people, good food but the resort needs to have a functioning safe for each room and give you privacy while in your room.
Also the entertainment in our lobby was great if it was during dinner but was deafening when you were in your room at night by 9pm or trying to sleep.

It is a regular hotel, they cannot supply the specialty restaurants in the 3 nights I stayed there was never space, more than 2 days in advance to reserve, they need lounge chairs both in the pool and on the beach, they are not enough for the People out there, what I liked was the room, the pools, the children's water area, food in general, I would rate it as fair

We will never stay at this resort again. From the day we checked in we had issues that they blamed on the booking engine we used. They charged us additional money and held the funds the entire trip? Giving 3 adults a room with 2 full beds.. The food was not good at all and the only thing you can eat during the day are hamburgers and pizza. Not to mention housekeeping doesn t clean your room until late in the afternoon if not at all- I myself fell out of the shower because we didn t have towels and had to get ready for dinner reservations or eat at their buffet which is equivalent to an all you can eat restaurant. Definitely could go on and on about the nightmare of an experience we had but I ll leave this review mentioning that someone entered our room the last night we were there. We reported it immediately and the next morning we followed up they treated us like we were insane and it never happened. Saying they had done a card reading of the door and the last entry was from our key - completely inaccurate when the time stamp was off they tried to say the door reader had not been updated for daylight savings??? Yet couldn t show us the report and the time stamp of up to the security check? Unsafe, poor customer service, and inattentive to our stay NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
