Staff really care about the students. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the students are very combative with each other. I think they need to implement more emotional support in every classroom and encourage students to get along better with each other.
It really is a good school teaching wise but need to choose students and people who go in thier school more wisely. Students pick on me and teachers say absolutely nothing to them.
There is constant fighting and physical violence and a lot of rude comments being pointed to students. Would not recommended this school a lot of violence indeed.
I am new to the school and the community. My child is enrolled in Kindergarten. The reason i choose to write this review is because i got a call that no parents should be getting about their child being physically attacked by another peer for unknow reasons. I kindly respect the fact that i met with the dean and principal but still im left puzzled with unanswered questions and conerns about the safety of my child and other kindergartners. No child should be physically assaulted or subject to physical/verbal assaults by peers, teachers or others on school ground
So this school hit's kids. My Son came back home with red marks every where Do not go there
This school is a disgrace to this community. They do not teach their students morals. Their are constant fights and consistent issues and I will no longer be apart of a school like it.
Its like a prison. We are treated as if we are just here to do our sentence and leave. Now , I understand why people leave before they get to senior academy. Its a hell hole. Students have no freedom express their concerns. They have a small athletics program.Don't get me wrong I hate this school but some of the teachers really care about their students. That makes it more tolerable.
it literally feels like prison some teachers can't teach, and are so quick to punish and embarrass us, they are also disrespectful. This school is so worried about stuffing more grades in this little building and it ruins our high school experience. The school has like 5 floors and more than 6 grades if you ask me they should open the other building if they want to add more grades. Back to the point this school is ehhh okay like we have a handful of good teachers.
My child is now a 2nd grader and has shown and proved through her academics that MBA was the right choice. It's sad to read how students feel like they're in prison not sure what expectations they have on a school environment and learning structure.

1. Now a parent of soon to be 4th grader I will say still love their educational standards
2. Now for the children who feel they don t teach morals that starts at home with your guardians
3. If you live far and can t take your kids to school yourself or an alternative other then yellow bird be advised that the bus rides are not pleasant, kids are cussing and saying the craziest things to each other
4. Had a situation with another student and my child and it was addressed and handled!
5. I work for the school district of Philadelphia and by far this has been the best choice for my kid.
My daughter has made the biggest progress since attending this school. I am reading the students comments about how they are treated and since they are children and not adults yet they may not understand the discipline. They are preparing you for the future. There are rules and regulations everywhere you go. I am glad they are not running a muck. Keep up the good work.
