Mardi Casino in Charleston WV is wonderful. Fast and easy check in out. Great rooms, very clean and comfortable beds. Casino has many slot machines, table games, dog and horse racing. They have a poker room. Great places too eat. Nice bar. Clean place. You cannot beat the friendly staff, there to help with what ever you may need. Swimming and exercise room. Always something going on there. Come and enjoy the fun. I bet you will be back.
From check in to check out the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The check in clerk suggested we join the players club to discount our room. We received a $40.00 savings based on her suggestion. My fiance loves to play slots and had much success in the casino and I won a little playing Blackjack. The dealer, Lisa, was very patient with me and offered tips as I am not a gambler. The room was clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast and coffee was enough to hold us over until we chose a place to dine in. We didn't eat at the resort but there were several in house options. I did miss not having a fridge in the room but that would be my only complaint. Mardi Gras, we will definitely be back!!
The day started wrong at check in. Once we got our room we walked in and the first thing we notice is the bed is made and the room looked clean. UNTIL my wife found toenail clippings in the floor. There was also one washcloth and that was it. No towels, no hand towels. The toilet is also not been cleaned at all.
So my wife called down and said that we needed someone to come vacuum (this is before we found the bathroom in disarray. The front desk said they would send someone. THIRTY MINUTES later my wife had to call down to the front desk and was told that Jamie would call us back. When Jamie called back, my wife told her about the toenails and the bathroom and she moved us immediately.
Now why did I give them 3 stars? Because the staff is amazing. The staff at the Cafe is awesome and the food was out of this world. Get the Stack Burger. 3 stars goes to the food and staff in the casino and cafe. Thanks guys, you re amazing!
Took family to visit. Spent time at dog track and casino. Dog racing was great even though they were not crowded on a Friday night. Casino was fun too even though they don't offer free spirits while gambling. Their expensive restaurant had very few items on their menu and said it was due to covid-19. We ate at a snack bar. Overall, we had a nice visit but it could have been better.
Its an average size casino. Three roulett tables with minimum of $10 or $15. Staff is friendly. Restaurant inside makes amazing food. Its not crowded mostly. You will have a good time here.
The hotel is clean for the most part. But upon arrival the clerk that checked me in was not friendly at all, she didn't give me any information about the hotel. Like check out time breakfast etc. So in the morning at 9:30 am. I go to get breakfast and they only serve it from 7 to 9. So I missed out on that. We paid $159 for the night and was given a handicap room for which I did not request on the first floor which smelled a bit musty. The bed is like a rock and the pillows were not nice. I think the price is a bit high considering there's a limited amount of time to get your free bagged breakfast. Thats right,, bagged breakfast...... And there's no microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge or even shampoo and conditioner in the room. I've stayed here before a couple years ago and I was pleased then, not so much this time.
Clean facilities. No smoking inside. Dog races are pretty cool. The rest of the casino is pretty much like any other casino. The buy in prices aren t too much. Would rather give it 3.5 stars because I think the lodging was a bit much, for a quiet night, and the food in the casino was so so. I was only there one night.
Make sure to use . when booking a room. This website will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down.
Great place. Staff is very friendly and helpful and it's even better when you walk out with other people's money.
If you plan to go to the dog track plan on NO help from staff, long wait to get a program, bet machine don't print bet slips and no one ever shows up to help.
Never been someplace that made it so hard to spend money and such a bad experience you didn't want to.
With a group of 14 we definitely had a awesome time! Only downside of staying the night at the casino is that there are no microwaves, refrigerators, or coffee makers in the rooms. The convenience of being right there makes up for it though. Very friendly staff and even if you don t know how to play the game your dealer will explain it and help guide you!
