Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan Review

I have briefly worked for two staffing agencies in the past and Manpower proved to be more effective and quick and found job placement for my particular career goal within minutes. The pre-employment process was very simple, you just need to make sure you have all of the documentation and information asked of you to make it even easier. Robin and Alex are very kind and professional. They answered every question asked and found solutions for information they did not right away. I would highly recommend Manpower for employment if you are career oriented and need to find quick job placement.

My first job assignment with manpower was at Hatch Stamping.The pay was $12.50. Manpower did not pay me my shift premium and tried not paying me for a day they claimed I missed, I talked to HR at Hatch and they said they sent over 48 hours for the week and that manpower was most likely trying to steel the money. After getting hired in and getting close to the $15 cap I left Hatch and took another job from Manpower.

Manpower sent me to the Mixing department at Jiffy mixes. The pay was $15.50 an hour. At first I thought it was a good job but i had a million problems with manpower. They promised 12 sets of uniforms which never came despite the fact I was working with dangerous chemicals that burn and blisters your skin. They claimed in orientation that we are paid by the minute and we will be paid every minute we work. I was never, not once paid for any of the times I had to work 10-15 minutes over, I never was paid for the Town hall meetings, which are a hour long. They fired the one other manpower employee in my department for getting in an argument with somebody, and then I had twice the amount of work to do. Also Jiffy Mixes changed procedures and I was required to lift 100lb barrels of ingredients chest high and dump them into the mixers, this is not in the job description and exceeds the 80lb maximum weight requirement.

When the season was almost over I ask for another job assignment when the season ends. I was told to wait until the new year to see if I would be called back. I told manpower that would make me ineligible for unemployment and that I needed a new job assignment within 7 days or I m filing for unemployment. They never offered me another assignment. I filed for unemployment and they disputed my claim. The most grotesque thing is they falsified documents submitted to UIA, they created write ups and disciplinary actions that never existed and submitted only half the transcripts of a voicemail they left me because the other half of the voicemail contained threats towards me.

If I find out that these fabricated disparaging remarks are being repeated about me in reference checks, I will contact my family s attorney and take their advice on how to proceed with civil actions.

I've been working on and off for Manpower for about 3 years now. They have a wide range of temp jobs, or can even get you hired in if needed! The staff is very friendly, and always willing to reach out and help whenever necessary. A great place for your job and career needs!

Manpower distinguishes themselves from others by being genuinely passionate and professional. Steve Dillion and the team are able to understand the needs of an organization and find what you are looking for in terms of candidates and future employees. They have a detailed understanding of the market and are able to provide hiring managers with advice every step of the way throughout the recruitment process. Steve is extremely personable and attentive to anyone he is recruiting for and is dedicated to sourcing for all hiring needs (especially those difficult to fill, urgent requests). I would recommend Manpower to any company looking for a recruiter they have a proven track record and are a delight to work with!

When I 1st applied with Manpower, I was contacted right away! After a few questions re: what my interest were etc, they immediately began working to place me. Jody, was amazing at helping me get the position I originally wanted. When that position didn t fall through due to Covid, she worked with me until another one became available. Since being placed, the staff at Manpower have been very helpful, attentive and responsive. Jennifer, Jordan & Stephan are all excellent to work with. I would definitely recommend them as a great place to work for.

My experience today at Manpower was very satisfying. I came in stress because of my current situation of being unemployed and without adequate income to take care of myself. Shefali was exceptional . She was very helpful in working with me to first, encourage me by telling me "I had a beautiful smile" second she complimented on my work ethic, third she help me to clean up my resume. I came in unsure of my situation and I left very confident that things were about to turn in the right direction for me..

This was an absolute wonderful experience! The staff is awesome! Everyone is very understanding and they truly want to help you and see you do well and provide opportunities to exude your full potential. From the moment you walk into the office until you have finished everything. They are a warm, patient and professional staff that care about taking you to the next level. Manpower SE Michigan ( Ann Arbor) is the best!

This place is the best. The people are so helpful and patient with me. I come here and I always leave out with a job. It seems like they genuinely want you to find a good job that fits just for you. I definitely recommend everybody that is looking for employment to come here. You will not be sorry.

Manpower patient attendant position is great at providing clinical experience for college students especially during this COVID-19 era! My only complaint is that sometimes there is nothing to do during the shift and we are not really trained how and when to talk to patients. They respond pretty quickly to calls but texts can take a while

The worker was very polite and made me feel very comfortable. provided great information to me about different job opportunities as well. I really look forward to starting my journey towards finding the perfect career for me.
