Manna Food Center Review

I volunteered here for a few weeks &it was a rewarding experience.The staff were great.Also watching exactly how everything operates & assisting.

My company volunteered here and it was a real good feeling doing it. This center is really doing great job helping others in need. This how we all should love our lives helping each other day to day. Only if we could lead our lives this way world could be a better place to live. Great experience.

I would be lost without them! I do wish that they had better meats and more condiments!

This place is good. They really give you alot of food and they always have on hand, a wide range of different breads or other stuff, that you can pick thru.

This place is awesome. They provide a variety of food to supplement a family's monthly grocery allowance to save you at least 50-60.00 a month. You can use almost all of the food and you get fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, bread and dairy. I highly recommend to anyone who is struggling to put food on the table.

People here are extremely kind,lovely and helpfull what a great and supportive center.

Although they were closing early the day before Thanksgiving, they were able to stay 15 minutes longer for me to make a donation after I called ahead. They even wrote up a tax slip with the weight of my bags.

Good distribution for the low income people. They have great stuff and programs!

That picture isn't the one on Rockville but if you need help they are generally the organization that you contact first. You need a referral and to go get your surprise box. Don't expect fresh food or frozen before expiration date either. It's something to tie you over.

Thank God there is this Center is very helpful and the staff is very kind. Good quality of food and products.

A great resource. You can pick up once a month and you receive bread, pastries, canned goods, meats, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Donated some food recently. Was given a quick overview of their operation. Good work being done there. Even in our affluent (Montgomery) county, there is a need, witnessed by the people awaiting their turn to get food. To all who read this, donate often.

It helps keep body and soul together. Without food, how is one supposed to survive? They help me provide food for my family.

Really cool place to volunteer at. They help out the community in such a thoughtful way and everyone that works here is super nice and welcoming.

I was here to pick up some free food and the service of getting it is sorta fast and in addition to that, it also gives out good food...

Im a Sr Citizen on very limited income...it always felt like a major holiday when i received food...Yes...at times the meats were a little bad...but more than often i was very blessed....The staff are so upbeat and positive....and treat me as a friend.

A location that is not easily seen. It is set way back near the end of the street. They accept all kinds of food items. Signing up for service hours fills up quick, do be sure to be ready when it opens for online registration.

They give you a little bit of food at Gaithersburg middle school. The other distribution centers especially by flower ave give you way more food according how many people live in your household. They gave us good enough for like 1 person and I have 7 people living with me !

The service was great each time I've been
However, they give nothing but expired food. I thought it was a simple mistake but it has been everytime. Helping the needy is so necessary, however, you should do it with love. Giving bad meat is not helpful, neither should it be considered giving. I know people really need this and I'm sorry they have to experience what I have. Thanks but no thanks, I'll find another way.

I was running late and I called to tell them that I would be their by 3:05pm and when I got to them they had it ready for me. The lady helped me by taking it outside. Very nice

Although the staff are wonderful, the meat is bad. I just picked up a order today and the steak is black. The sandwich meat smells really bad and the sausages are molded. I can't for the life of me understand how this can be overlooked. Everything else was wonderful; however, I wouldn't give this meat to my dog. I hate to complain because this is a needed service in our community and you'll are really doing a great job. I just didn't expect to receive all bad meat.

Because it helps people who need it most but they should be more careful not to donate food that is too old or too long for human consumption.
