This place is awesome. They provide a variety of food to supplement a family's monthly grocery allowance to save you at least 50-60.00 a month. You can use almost all of the food and you get fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, bread and dairy. I highly recommend to anyone who is struggling to put food on the table.

Although they were closing early the day before Thanksgiving, they were able to stay 15 minutes longer for me to make a donation after I called ahead. They even wrote up a tax slip with the weight of my bags.

That picture isn't the one on Rockville but if you need help they are generally the organization that you contact first. You need a referral and to go get your surprise box. Don't expect fresh food or frozen before expiration date either. It's something to tie you over.

Donated some food recently. Was given a quick overview of their operation. Good work being done there. Even in our affluent (Montgomery) county, there is a need, witnessed by the people awaiting their turn to get food. To all who read this, donate often.

A location that is not easily seen. It is set way back near the end of the street. They accept all kinds of food items. Signing up for service hours fills up quick, do be sure to be ready when it opens for online registration.

The service was great each time I've been

The service was great each time I've been
However, they give nothing but expired food. I thought it was a simple mistake but it has been everytime. Helping the needy is so necessary, however, you should do it with love. Giving bad meat is not helpful, neither should it be considered giving. I know people really need this and I'm sorry they have to experience what I have. Thanks but no thanks, I'll find another way.

Although the staff are wonderful, the meat is bad. I just picked up a order today and the steak is black. The sandwich meat smells really bad and the sausages are molded. I can't for the life of me understand how this can be overlooked. Everything else was wonderful; however, I wouldn't give this meat to my dog. I hate to complain because this is a needed service in our community and you'll are really doing a great job. I just didn't expect to receive all bad meat.

Donating to this food bank is a wonderful and rewarding experience. The staff are friendly, helpful, and polite.

In addition to helping families directly, Manna also helps some of the local schools during their food drive.

Such a wonderful organization!

Mana Food is a place of food assistance, located in the city of Gaithersburg Maryland, USA
This place is for people of low resources, who need help with food, and for people who in some
Moment need help

The person has to live in the area
And be from the same state, to collect
Foods
You just have to call, and give your personal information, and with that you are registered
And they give him the date, so that he goes to
collect food
They have to go with your document
Identity (ID)
They ask for it when entering, to check the data given when registering
And especially by domicilo

In Christmas time, and New Year
They deliver turkeys,
Of course, by signing up, in advance

It is a very good help that they give
It's good for people, with low resources
And for people, who may need help at some time

Good!

About Manna Food Center

Manna Food Center is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Montgomery County community in Maryland for over 35 years. The organization's mission is to fight hunger and feed hope by providing food assistance, education, and advocacy to those in need.

The Manna Food Center was founded in 1983 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized the growing problem of hunger in their community. Since then, the organization has grown significantly and now serves over 30,000 individuals each year through its various programs.

One of the primary ways that Manna Food Center fights hunger is through its food distribution program. This program provides free groceries to families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. The food distributed by Manna includes fresh produce, dairy products, meat, bread, and other essential items.

In addition to providing food assistance, Manna also offers educational programs designed to help individuals improve their nutrition and overall health. These programs include cooking classes, nutrition workshops, and gardening classes.

Manna Food Center also advocates for policies that address the root causes of hunger such as poverty and lack of access to affordable housing. The organization works closely with local government officials and community leaders to promote policies that support low-income families.

One unique aspect of Manna's work is its focus on reducing food waste. The organization operates a food recovery program which collects excess perishable foods from grocery stores and restaurants before they go bad. This recovered food is then distributed directly to those in need or used in meal preparation at local shelters.

Overall, Manna Food Center plays an essential role in fighting hunger and promoting healthy communities throughout Montgomery County Maryland. Through its various programs and initiatives, the organization provides critical support for thousands of families each year while also working towards long-term solutions that address the root causes of poverty.
