Both my boys go to this school they are excelling in there work dont know why people are calling this school teachers ive met and deal with ate absolutley brilliant i think its down to the pupils on how they behave in and out of school ....i rate this school my last child my daughter will be attending in nxt 2 yrs
What a shame! MCA students are well behaved but some teachers' subject knowledge is weak and inaccurate. Poor subject knowledge=poor attainment and learning outcomes.
the day when ofsted comes we are all treated nicely but as soon as they leave we get treated horribly again.the nurse says she cannot help you until you collapse.

It is not bad but could make major differences to improve students education. Yes, we have had rats in the school which is beyond shocking but some of the English teachers here are amazing teachers and go above and beyond for their students. Despite that fact, some teachers lie quite a lot about oppunities and trips, some teachers are quite the snitches if you ask me. The quality of education here needs major improvement. The food is quite trashy and sometimes raw. The interior of the school and outerior is very Morden but as someone else said don't be fooled by that. It isn't a bad school, could be worse, could be better. Some times you get put in lessons which are very easy for you or very hard which can make you lack progress. They are improving a bit but this school is a hit or miss. The trips and events are alright but at the end of the year if your good you get to go Blackpool Pleasure Beach which is great fun but going there every single year could get a bit boring. A plus is also the fact every Friday, you get to go home at 12:30. Again, that makes you lack some progress. The students here will have fights every now and again in the playground and they will put their trash on the floor which has an effect on the environment. Some students are badly behaved; others are good students. The lessons here are 2 hours which can make lessons drag on a bit and make you lose concentration. Honestly, this school can be enjoyable at times and at the same time could be boring as some teachers make their lessons a lecture. In conclusion, it is an alright school but as I said before, needs to make major improvements for a 4-5 star ratings.
This school has an excellent creative staff and English team however the behaviour team are aggressive and lack knowledge.
The food is vile and roar there's been a number of rats through the years and have been covered up. Maths teachers are dull and have no social life defiantly mr hunter. Miss wrigley is a science teacher and doesn't attend lessons during gcse period.
Miss watmough lied and manupliated students and was very cruel when she was in a mood.

Well I could say a lot of this school first about how psycho all the Spanish and french teachers are imagine ganging up to one student how embarrassing if you get told of by one u will be told of by atlease three or four as they all stick together cause they can t speak for themselves . Other than that this school was actually alright just need to sort the language teachers out the weirdos

i don't recommend this school, the teachers are terrible the food is gross, the tests are much harder and nothing that we learnt even though the teachers said it would. the nurse is trash this one time i threw up twice in class and she came down to check on me because i could not walk and i felt like i was going to faint and she said to me the normal questions like "have you eaten, drank anything etc etc" but then the bell went and she just walked away the teacher brought her back but she said "its my lunch break bye" now i was ill so i stayed in my class the break we brought the teacher back at the start at the next lesson and she said "you only have 1hr and 20 mins left. at the end my mum shouted at the nurse and took me home, that nurse is still here after that i cant believe it. dont go here
Not happy at all. My daughter was bullied at this school. Teachers never told us when my daughter was physically assaulted by another student. My daughter had to ring us herself.
Since then, the school has been very helpful but only because we threatened to make several complaints.
Too many ill behaved kids in this school.
High quality of education and expectations of pupils(not sure the same can be said for a number of staff), my overall rating is based on the staff; who genuinely care about the pupils and their education and future, their attitude to understanding and empathising with all and every individual pupil and their specific requirements and the patience levels displayed with new pupils who are experiencing issues adjusting and/or settling in to the school.
I would highly recommend this school personally based on the above factors added with the extremely impressive range of educational options available for pupils and public alike, but as with all schools there is room for improvement but my personal neutral option of this is not with the educational standard levels but the level of quality, experience and attitude of the staff.
85% of the staff display adequate and expected levels all round yet the majority of(a select few) the rest have authority and superiority issues and a mix of a lack of or complete incompetence with understanding, attitude and patience.
Without being over shadowed by the negative this school is an asset to any young student and their families with respects towards the outcome of their future. Well done.
MCA is one of the worst schools you could possibly choose in Manchester, do not be fooled by that trash they upload to the internet- it's all clickbait and lies.
An example of the terrible state of this school:
Packs of students on a Friday were kept behind when trying to buy lunch for no reason (that they know of) and forced to queue up for over half an hour. If they tried to leave, they would get told off. If they tried to question it, they would get no answer. If they tried to prove that they were eligible to leave after hearing the vice headmaster say any year under year 11 could leave, they were asked to prove it. Prove it? Prove it with what? No student has any form of id other than their fingerprint (used to pay for food, sign in and sign out), there was no legitimate way to prove that they weren't year 11.
One of the worst parts of this school is the language department. One of my friends attending the school stated that one of the teachers caused her "immense anxiety" whenever they were around. She stated that he was scary, not a usual type of scary, but one where she found herself relying on her inhaler to steady herself.
This school is not worth your time. Don't risk it.
This school is Good but the student that need to go school no late than 8:15 will make then wake up very early and if they are late they will get a detentions . This school have lots of good teachers which are nice . Detentions could be bad or good because if they get a detentions it then mean they won't make that decisions anymore so good and bad because some student live fars away and they don't habe that many time to get a bus or car . It is your dicisions of what you think about this school.
This school forces u to take courses that u dont want to take for example french and spanish are probably the most hated subjects u jabe to do
good school but they like to exclude people for stupid reasons also the teachers cant controll their students and miss malone cant teach to save her life
