Some workers can get really rude sometimes, especially if they're busy or if they have to release a patient, so they don't care about being polite anymore. That should be the last place where there could be workers with emotional issues. Also, they usually have only 2 activities during the day for patients, so there is really bad management going on in there. Furthermore, any place could implement safety measures and let family members visit patients, but they are not letting ANYONE in to visit EVER, and they're using COVID as an excuse like everywhere else does. The patient's mental health is benefitted from seeing family members. It's not rocket science!

The worst part so far is that now they created a program to take more money from patients and they kind of brainwash the patient while they're in there to make them think they need to continue with their program that costs $250 per day and they say the patient usually has to do 3 sessions per week for about 3 to 6 weeks! That's $4,500 per person for a "GROUP therapy" program. Also, they don't let the patient know if their health insurance pays for it or not, they only say they'll TRY to charge the health insurance and later charge the patient if they can't charge the insurance. GREAT JOB Suncoast Behavioral Health for trying to take advantage of patients that were in there SPECIFICALLY because the patient is in a bad financial situation!

They don t call back. They keep your child held without communicating or informing you of what they do. If you call they most likely will not answer or say when she wakes up even if the child is awake. I recommend not going there. They don t check in and don t even care. It s more safe for your child to be home than at this prison.

They dont take care of patients and the rules are different everyday. No consistency at all and no real help is given to patients. Avoid this place if possible. They dont care about patient health and well-being.

i was baker acted here at 14 after an overdose attempt. intake took well into the evening (i was transported to the place from pasco county around 1; it was dark outside when i finally entered the actual adolescent area). there were only two actual therapy sessions any other activities were watching tv, hanging out in the common area for hours, and going outside (which was only once). in the 5 days i was held there, a doctor only came once, saw me and a few others for 5 minutes tops, and left after 30 minutes. the only good things about this place were the semi-bearable food, some of the staff, and the other patients.
