Fantastic food great service large portions in the best Mai Tai's ever

Good food and nice environment for breakfast. Overpriced Bloody Marys and drinks...

My lobster roll was very delicious. My friend also loved her chicken and waffles!! Customer service was not bad. I would go back if I was in the area!

Good service, good food, but usually has people standing outside waiting for a table. We have been lucky on many occasions, such as today, to find a table for 2 in the bar area which is first come, first serve.

Went on a Sunday and felt really rushed.. food was mediocre at best and overpriced.. we went because we saw a pretty menu and the theme seemed really unique and quaint.
The avocado toast I got was already turning brown, meaning it must have been old since we went in the morning.
I wouldn't recommend going here if you are looking for a good experience with a good fresh breakfast

It was good food and good service but my boyfriend and I sat for at least 30 minutes without water (or juice for his mimosa) but once we got it the waitress was very nice and apologetic. Overall it was a good experience

This place is walkable from my home, so I decided to give it a try. I had the nachos. Good option. I was satisfied. Sat at the bar due to it being packed for Argentina/ Croatia game. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back to try other food options.

The wait was a bit long. The endless mimosas are wonderful. The Philly Benedict was wonderful. the allowing pets on the patio is a plus.

The bloody Mary is just spicy enough, The 5 dollar mai tai is a heavy pour of amazing! And the food is good portions for all. The garlicky Parmesan fries are bottomless and to die for!

Some good experiences, some pretty bad. It is really hit or miss. Our last visit included cold waffles, over cooked bacon, an overcooked burger, and soggy fries. The service is usually good, but I seems like you never know with the food.

Excellent grilled tuna sandwich with fresh potato chips.

The fried chicken is spot on. Great brunch spot. Kid friendly! The staff was very kind and accommodating.

I was very disappointed...I went here on Sunday with a group of friends and was looking forward to a nice brunch...Gena was our server and could have been much better...she was only there a few times to take a drink order, bring drinks and take a food order...in between those I have no idea where she was...several times I saw her talking with others in the kitchen line but even though I was popping my head up from the booth she was not paying any attention....other staff were very helpful and when they saw that we were looking around and in need of obvious help they stepped up to the plate...Shawna and another gentleman(i believe a manager)were very nice and attentive...I sat waiting for maple syrup for far too long while my food got cold and while the others at my table nearly finished their entrees...the majority of the dining experience we had no drinks refilled for us and when everyone else's food was cleared and while I was still eating the check was dropped while drinks were still not refilled and nothing else was offered...the only time she was attentive was while she was waiting to get paid and then she came and asked for the check because she had been cut and "wanted to go home"...I wrote on her receipt that it was the worst service I had ever had(being a server myself maybe I expect too much)...but as I went to the bathroom I walked past the service area and saw her and heard her complain to a co-worker about my little note...and then on the way back from the bathroom complaining to another co-worker...we had to buy dessert from the counter on the way out since it wasn't offered by our server because the check was just dropped and nothing else was offered...by far this was the worst service i have ever had in my life and even though the food was enjoyable I would never return due to this experience

Very good ole American diner food. Nice local flavor too. It can be a bit pricey but you get lots of food for it. I got the Boston BBQ burger (my new fav) for $13.99 with free garlic parmesan fries. Quite overpriced for just the burger alone but the complementary fries were worth it. Definitely a great diner to check out if you're visiting HB from out of town for the first time

Great place for brunch and a cocktail great food and customer service .for an American place the chilaquiles were pretty good the tater tots were amazing

Overpriced average breakfast we had a dirty dish and an unattentive waitress. They were in way too much of a hurry to get everybody in and out.

Friendly, helpful staff, delicious food & huge portions. I had tasty grilled fish tacos with fresh salsa. I preferred the green, my friend, the red. Plus the outside area accommodates pets,. We went there cuz it was dog friendly!

Love this place. Thursday's is family night, kids eat free with adult meal. They make you feel like family. Great food, good prices, awesome staff!

Neat place for breakfast. The eggs Benedict I had was ok, nothing special. Wifes waffle was cold, they quickly replaced it with a hot one. Manager the morning we were there was on top of things and making sure everything was running smooth. Hats off to her. I would eat here again when back in town.

Very tasty and cool service. They get your food quick ready and they are always happy to serve you. We went there already 3 times and everytime it was as good as the first time.

First time visit. Excellent food. The gravy is great. Had the Philly Hash - OMG. Don t forget about the bacon biscuits and the Pineapple Habanero sauce. Definitely coming back!!

Mamas on 39 is located in Huntington Beach and a newer location in Los Alamitos. Both locations are ALWAYS busy for a reason, great service, relaxing atmosphere, and awesome Comfort food, especially for breakfast. You'll either split the entree or have a to go box. Sooo many choices will make it hard to pick a favorite, but you can do it. But have to go back to try other fun Comfort food. It's truly a Mama's type diner. Go early to get parking spot!

Had chicken and waffles and the chicken to waffle ratio was 3.5:1 great source of protein, but chicken overwhelms the meal. Bloody Mary ain't that great either

Get the nachos. Mondays are $5 martinis, can't beat that!

I really want to like it here, but they keep changing the way they make their dishes, and it isn't for the better. When they first opened a few years ago their food was amazing! It had an incredibly unique fusion of flavors. After a few months they changed things up, and made things a bit less gourmet and a bit more mainstream. It wasn't terrible, but it was definitely a step in the wrong direction. They have now done this several more times, and the food you get today is not remotely the food you got before. Their burgers used to be served on Kings Hawaiian rolls and had cinnamon mixed in with the meat, now they're served on some kind of inferior alternative with no cinnamon to be had. They still have good food, and friendly staff, but I miss the early days.

Was 3.5 stars. Would eat there again. The Korean hash browns where very good. Most other things we ordered was just ok.

A little more expensive than I thought it would be. But service and food was great. Hot tip: apparently you get a discount at breakfast if you wear pajamas...Haven't tried it yet.

Wow. What a great breakfast spot. Staying at the Hyatt Regency and was not planning on leaving at all to eat, but so glad we did. The food was amazing and the service was GREAT. Every employee we spoke with was great. Joshua is fantastic server. Friendly and fast.

Menu is not well written. I got the sliders (tutt' s fry chicken and Hawaiian steak) the steak ones were bad. Poor beer selection.

This place is so amazing. Get the Mama's Mai Tai, it's delicious. I want to try the huge Bloody Mary next!

Been awhile since I ve eaten here. I must say I have been missing out. The coffee is great the food is amazing! Large portions makes up for the price. Yes the prices seem hight but they do give you large portions. You can definitely share a meal here. Breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Well over the top Sunday brunch will my favorite boys. Great day and great food what else is there to say.

Gross place, service was poor also. Beans with chiliquilis hard and dry. Asked for one coffee and server brought 2. Asked for refill on 2nd cup to be decaf but never got refill. Never got refill on first cup. We'll not go back

girl with the tattoos all over needs a better attitude. i ve served and bartended for years and i know not to mock guests and be plain out rude. we re paying you for your service and if it s not good, that s your money.

It is very popular and often hard to get into; I would say more, but didn't want to wait for 45 minutes to hour for a table.

Terrible, staff wouldn't toss out a bunch of snowflakes with a vicious dog, same selfish idiots stole my table's shade while I was sitting there. I was seated at 11:45 and my food didn't arrive until 12:56...undercooked poor quality burger with cold hard fries. This place sucks on every level. Skip it and go someplace good instead. Top it off, no offer of a discount just a pathetic excuse for why it took over an hour to make a bad burger.
If management is reading this, dogs that bark at people or other dogs...throw that mutt out! Millennial douchebags, don't seat them they're cheap and bad for business anyway!
Get your staff in order and stop ostensibly hiring trustfund kids and brainless bimbos.

Great garlic fries...and free refills on the fries if you can finish first Generous helping. Great casual food from burgers to Waffle's something for everyone.

Clean with cool decor, but lacks any cozy/comfort factor. Also the tables are so close that you may have trouble keeping your conversation private. However, the food is very good! Wait staff was polite and pretty efficient. Although... no one offered a refill on my coffee which is a big fail in my book, especially at breakfast. Another issue for me is that the prices are pretty high. They give you ALOT of tasty food, which is great but I would prefer manageable portions at lower prices. All in all, I usually take friends here when we are looking for a different, more one of a kind experience. Nice for out of town visitors, close to the beach for quick visit before or after a beach-run.

I like this place because it is dog friendly. The endless (2-hour) mimosas are great. They have OJ, cran, and guava passion juice to mix. I got the hash a mama, which was okay.

I go with my wife to this lovely place often! This is the best place to eat. I visit this spot many times. The meals are of high quality, the workers are helpful and the rates are reasonable. I enjoy going in this restaurant over a rich dinner.

The food was okay and the waiter was rude. I didn't really see anything special about the food. They brought me a waffle with no butter just syrup? Very weird. I had the smallest cup of Cranberry juice that was $4.25 that should have been $2.00, they are very overpriced for nothing.....I am not coming back!!!

Excellent feel good food choices on the menu. I had the fried chicken. Their meatloaf is amazing too. Save room for Thrifty Ice Cream.

Them Irish tater tots!!! I shouldn't have much cheese/dairy... but I just can't resist this stuff. Good food n service here. The atmosphere is always awesome n comfortable n chill. I love the burgers here. But I do my best to try something different each time. Minus the Irish tater tots. =)

Comfort food at it's best. We occupied the back private room for a birthday party. The staff was friendly and attentive. Service was superb and menu selection was plentiful. Saturday night included live music.

Got the monster burger. Wow that thing is huge. Very good but just too big to eat normally. Service was decent but could have been better. If I am in the area I will visit again.

My husband had to get his truck serviced at a dealership in Huntington Beach. We needed to eat breakfast so why not try a local restaurant that served breakfast. We wanted a local favorite. We ordered our low calorie breakfast. The portions are generous. The food is yummy. I would say it's a great place to eat. They serve breakfast all day.
