There's not many places you can get a full roast dinner as good as this! (not sure is they do it every day) it's really nice to see a roast dinner that still has plenty of different types of vegetables cooked well with the usual stuff, really adds to the meat, Yorkshire, stuffing, etc.

The atmosphere was pretty busy but definitely got to be one of the most interesting buildings in Nottingham, with the lower gents toilets literally being built in a cave... Good drinks too! Staff were nice!

Lovely little pub in a great building. This former music hall is light and airy with a good selection of drinks. We didn't try the food, but what we saw of it looked good. It's a nice community oriented establishment, a pleasant change from the typical chain pub.

If you like to appreciate a place you are sitting in you will not be disappointed it has that magic old world charm. Good selection of real ales. Early Sunday evening live jazz band not that I am into jazz but it was pleasant. Next time I am in town I may head there and maybe try the food.

A step back in time. Delightful surroundings of the old time music hall era. it's a wonderful product that had painstakingly been restored to its former glory. I found the prices more expensive than I thought they should be hence 4 stars. But even then it was an experience not to be missed.

Stunning building with a remarkable history - one of only three intact music halls that remain outside London. Good selection of ales, cakes, and the meals are imaginative. There's a good selection of events on in the evenings and the heritage element is both interesting and worthwhile. The company has secured a genuine occupational exception to its recruitment which allows it to refuse interviews to those not adhering to its religious views, and for this reason I've boycotted them for four years.

Re-opened, excellent! Added a whole range of craft beers and no horrid changes. Several real ales on tap and craft cider now. For those that have not heard of this place before it is an old music hall with a classic glass arched roof, a upstairs balcony , a stage and tours of the basements ( no idea of what is down there). Always been a good place. Slightly dodgy wooden floor which is heavier people can feel moving but nice looking.

Fantastic pub. Great atmosphere and ample seating. The staff are nice and quick to serve you, they also know what they're selling so you can ask them about what's on and how it is. There's a section upstairs with boardgames which is always fun when mixed with alcohol. It's a shame that they've announced they they've closed but let's hope it's only a temporary thing and someone else steps into the breach to run it like how it's been ran for so long.

Great pub. Really tasty food at a decent price, friendly staff. Always hosting different events so something for everyone. Pub quiz on a Monday is a particular highlight. Not for profit pub with great values too

Fantastic pub which I always try and visit when I'm in Nottingham. It offers a good beer selection and tasty food.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's up there as one of the best bars in Nottingham in my humble opinion.

This was a great find. 1st time visiting, service was great- there was a sanitizing station- tables partially distanced. Went for Sunday roast. Food was delightful, veg was cooked to perfection, the pork loin tender with a crispy skin. The portions were generous, we had ordered with enthusiasm so we're able to take our left overs home. We went with kids and small plates for kids were generous also. I will definitely be returning.

A real diamond in the rough located just off Nottingham's market square. This former Victorian music hall retains much of its original style and class in its current incarnation as boozer/eatery/art gallery. Plenty of food choices for vegans and meat-eaters alike, a huge selection of leaf teas and beers, and a lovely atmosphere to consume it all in.

Excellent food, great choice of exciting beers.

Excellent food, great choice of exciting beers.
Thoroughly recommend this as the perfect venue to relax with friends, drink quality beer and enjoy delicious home-cooked food. The setting of the old music hall is quirky and fun.
Hope to come back for a guided tour in the future and see the caves when they're open.

Glad it s back. Cannot fault the beers/food. The bar staff take the time to get to know you. Guide your choices if unsure of what to have. I would vote it one star to keep the crowds away but that s unfair to a great pub and the good work they do for Nottingham.

I love the malt cross! The staff has always been absolutely lovely to me and you don't have to wait long to be served. The building is beautiful with loads of period features, free books, papers and games, and the food is very nice too, I've never had a bad meal there. Curly fries esp are excellent.
