Very good and very fine meal, no waiting between the different dishes. The only downside is the price compared to the quantity, in fact the starter egg at 15 euros for a minimal quantity is disappointing. The side dishes of vegetables are minimal too it's a shame because the flavors are good.

Nice meal but service a bit confusing.

Nice meal but service a bit confusing.
We arrive with a good gift, the waitress tells us that we can choose everything. Finally it was not the case, we had to change our choices.
The waiter arrives with the water and the bread then leaves with the bread.
We waited a very long time between each dish and to have bread.
The waiter made us choose a wine for the dish but finally the glass arrived for dessert ...
Fortunately the setting is nice! Quality of service not at the Appointment and other guests also complained.

Very nice place in the middle of the vineyards. Original and neat cuisine. Discreet and efficient service. When the weather is nice, eating outside on the terrace overlooking the vineyards is a pleasure to be there. The rooms inside are clear. Simple decoration. Original exposed paintings. Various menus. Nice map of regional wines.

Absolutely fabulous! Perfect welcome, perfect location, impeccable terrace, impeccable dishes, flawless service, pleasant from start to finish.
I went there on a Thursday noon without reservation, placed on the terrace in the shade of the branches of a tree, sublime weather and a magnificent view of the vines.
Everything contributes to create an exquisite moment.
Besides, I do not advise you to go there (I prefer to keep this place for myself ...)

Bad experience ... Linked to the day? finally Saturday night without much affluence..bizarre
Service:
The wine is served anyhow .... I thought it would end up on the table, and my glass to finish had drops along the glass ... Without wiping it .. .. on the white tablecloth.
Meal:
We bring you the card ... The menu has 2 choices for each dish ... A fixed dish and a suggestion of the chef.
We study the menu ... Choose the duck breast and its accompaniment .... So not the suggestion of the chef.
The waitress arrives to take the order .... and announces that it's not duck ... but beef ... And without specifying the piece.

Why not announce it at the delivery of menus ... Average.

The entrance arrives ..... velvety celery with crab and accompaniment ....
The crab and accompaniment at the bottom of the plate ... We poured the velvety in the beautiful black plate sombrero style ..... And it drops on the edge of the plate .... Not wiped ... A drop of velvety white celeri .... On a black plate, well we see only that ...
Fortunately, this was not the case with our 6 plates.
The shares are relatively small in quantity.
Sliced beef with polenta and 3 crunchy vegetables .... Frankly, I was expecting a lot better.
I let you see the pictures.
In short, totally ruined ... Not to mention the carafe of water has 4 euros.

A restaurant in the middle of the vineyards of Tain-l'Hermitage. A very nice terrace. Elaborate and sophisticated food. Good wine. Menu at 33 euros very reasonable. Attentive service although a little inexperienced. A single "but", the use of very deep dishes that are not practical.

Chef's table = cubbyhole

Chef's table = cubbyhole
Disasters at state level which is a big surprise for the price of the dishes and "a Michelin restaurant 2018"
Very disappointed, dear
Good but very LIGHT meal
They forgot us between the entry and the main course 55 min waiting !!
Intolerable!!!
We ate on a table or we couldn't even be in front of each other
The waiters are not friendly apart from the little kid with glasses
By booking on the phone we stipulated that a person could not eat gluten and that they would take care of everything and well NOT AT ALL I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Pleasant restaurant in the heart of the Tain l'Hermitage vineyards. The decor is very pleasant and bucolic. A beautiful modern and comfortable shaded terrace. A very well maintained building. A very warm welcome, the servers are very caring without being intrusive. Nothing to say about the value for money which is good at the appointment. The interior room is in a modern but warm style. We feel good there. The duck breast was no frills but delicious and the pear and its succulent ice cream for dessert. Check out this place, you won't be disappointed.

Meal without fail. A treat on the plate from start to finish, beautiful fresh products, lots of flavors and nice dressings.
What a joy to have lunch in the terraced vineyards!
As a bonus for families, endenta meal at 12 of very, very high quality.
The digestive walk through the vineyards of this excellent terroir is also appreciable.

1st experience in this absolutely CONCLUDING establishment. VERY HIGH QUALITY restaurant, absolutely SUMPTUOUS GASTRONOMIC lunch. Excellent value for money, exhaustive menu which is PERFECT. However, it is PREFERABLE to book given the limited number of tables. ADVISE without moderation.

(and even one of my colleagues was in this same scenario as me) more than 3/4 h to find in the end it was colleagues who came to my rescue !!!!! me not being around, and a gps that makes me turn all around, go through unlikely places! at night it is really bad to indicate and while passing by this road no great visibility showing this restaurant! a light panel would be appreciated!

About Maison Gambert

Maison Gambert: A Culinary Journey through the Heart of Hermitage Vineyards

Nestled in the heart of Hermitage vineyards, Maison Gambert is a restaurant that offers a unique culinary experience to its guests. The restaurant is known for its bistronomic cuisine, which combines traditional French cooking techniques with modern twists and local ingredients. With its charming ambiance and rich history, Maison Gambert has become a popular destination for foodies and wine enthusiasts alike.

The History of Maison Gambert

Maison Gambert has a long and fascinating history that dates back to the 18th century. Originally built as a farmhouse, it was later converted into an inn where travelers could rest and enjoy local cuisine. Over time, the inn became famous for its delicious food and warm hospitality.

In 2015, the property was acquired by Chef Nicolas Isnard and his wife Cécilia who transformed it into what it is today - a fine dining restaurant that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of France's Rhône Valley.

The Cuisine at Maison Gambert

At Maison Gambert, Chef Nicolas Isnard creates dishes that are inspired by his childhood memories as well as his travels around the world. His menu features classic French dishes such as foie gras terrine with fig chutney or roasted pigeon with truffle jus alongside more contemporary creations like sea bass ceviche with passion fruit or beef tartare with smoked eel cream.

All dishes are made using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible - from vegetables grown in nearby gardens to meat from nearby farms. The wine list at Maison Gambert is equally impressive featuring some of the best wines from Rhône Valley vineyards.

The Ambiance at Maison Gambert

One of the things that sets Maison Gambert apart from other restaurants in Hermitage is its charming ambiance. The building itself exudes old-world charm with exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and antique furnishings. Guests can choose to dine in one of several rooms each decorated in a different style - from rustic country chic to elegant Parisian glamour.

During warmer months guests can also dine outside on one of two terraces overlooking vineyards while enjoying stunning views over Rhône Valley hillsides.
