I am not the kind of person who normally writes reviews online but I believe is worth it to write here. I highly recommend Magnum Opus. I had struggled on finding a place that can provide good service, specially for hair coloration until I found them. I've done several treatments there from hair cut to coloration with 100% satisfaction.Besides the quality of the products applied- never damaged my hair.
Clint has done my hair for years. My hair is thin and he cuts it and styles it so that it looks fuller. He is a magician. He is an excellent stylist and colorist. Thanks Clint!
This is a late post but I have to say Clinton did a fantastic job with my color, cut, and blowout. He did a wonderful job of listening to me try to describe what I was looking for. He did not disappoint at all. I can t wait to return!

i never thought I'd be able to find a stylist with the skill and artistry, the warmth and creativity of the one I'd come to rely on for 30+ years when he retired. And then I walked into Magnum Opus. Clinton and Milka are so welcoming, I left feeling that I didn't just get a great cut, I connected with two lovely people. Just had my second cut there and I'm so glad I did.
I ve followed Clinton from a few locations - he is absolutely the best and has incredible technical skill. Plus he is such a kind man - big heart, wonderful personality.
Not happy with my experience. The staff was nice, but I did not like the results. The color turned out to be much lighter than what I had asked for. They did offer to redo it if I wanted, but I didn t want to waste the time. They also used this hair mask or whatever you call it after they colored. Supposedly to make the color long lasting, but they did not specify that it adds $40 onto the service, and it also made my hair tangle a lot afterwards, which it never used to do. Definitely would not go back again.
Fabulous experience! Clinton is the best and combines precision with artistry...Danielle s eye for color and style is part magic and talent applied with a skill second to none!
I LOVE my hair cut. I wanted to mix it up but also keep my length. He kept that in mind but also made my hair lighter. It is so easy for me to maintain and it looks good. I'll be going to this place from now on. Also i cant wait for the art shows! Make sure to follow them on ig so you can stay in the loop when they do events because i know its gonna be really good.

Everyone was so nice and they did an amazing job! Added a pic of my hair before its super dark, pretty much black and I ve had my hair colored before & it turned out orange but not here!! They are the best!
It took me while to write this but my friend who ask "what happened to your hair"? told me I should place a review because all the other reviews are positive. This is one of the worst hair cuts I have ever had, cannot wait until it grows out. I asked for a trim, said I wanted to maintain length & I walked out with the shortest hair I had in 10yrs!

I came to Magnum Opus Hair Salon to try and solve a very bad haircut and poorly done highlights. Clinton literally did magic to my overly-layered hair, and Danielle absolutely nailed my hair color. They were honest about what could be done and how we should proceed given my situation. I have been trying to find a good Hair Salon in the Washington, D.C. metro area for years, and I finally found the perfect place! 10/10

So happy with my hair!!! I went to this salon for the first time, and I think I may have the most beautiful highlights of my life (it was balayage, actually). The work was meticulous. I am thrilled that I ve found this place. I really enjoyed being there bc it s a very friendly and chill environment, free from a lot of the falseness and overwork you see and sense at other salons. The other women leaving there also had glorious hair.
Clinton is extremely talented. I was a first-time client four weeks ago. I brought a few inspiration photos and left with an even better version. Having the right cut makes a huge difference! Styling now is a breeze and my hair falls into place! So lucky to have found this gem!

Clinton is miraculous with my hair! Amazing! ! Being African American, my specific hair blend is a bit frizzy & curly, I couldn t do anything with it. Went from salon to salon, always left feeling - this will do . Once I met Clinton..OMG, my hair is smooth, easy to manage- received compliments immediately, especially at work! The Magnun staff ( Milka, Julie) is wonderful! There s a welcoming sense of family from the moment you walk in. I cannot wait until Covid19 is over - I NEED CLINTON, no one can take care of my hair like him!
I was a bit apprehensive when I first arrived, as the salon is very modestly appointed and not what I've come to expect from prior, lavishly decorated salons. However, Clifton was very welcoming and clearly knew his stuff. We went over what I wanted, his ideas, and then he went to work. I ended up with the absolute best haircut I have EVER had. It met my demands for simplicity and ease of care, and yet brought a real sense of polish and creativity that I love but wouldn't have thought to request. In sum, he knew what I needed better than I did! I've never been excited about a haircut before and have always put them off as long as possible. Now I am excited to come back!

I am so SO thrilled to have found Magnum Opus! For years I have had to do hair dying/balayage/highlights as a two step process where they first do the highlights and then tone it down again to look more natural, and it was a very lengthy process. I have no idea how they did it absolutely perfectly here, in one go, just from some pictures I showed! also did keratin treatment and a cut. I will never go anywhere else!
