My daughter took a beginning ballet class at Magnolia. I was totally impressed with the teacher and her emphasis on technique. My daughter left even more passionate about ballet and was excited to work on improving her footwork! Very happy!
My daughter has been dancing with Magnolia for several years and has been so happy and has grown as a dancer in more ways than one. I have never been a dancer myself but have learned to"trust the process". The studios new owner Ms. Christie has teachers that like her, love each and every dancer. It's our home away from home.
My 4yo daughter just finished her first year with Magnolia Dance Academy and we were thrilled with the school and will be returning in a week for the next session. The staff are all very friendly and kind, I feel like they truly care about my child and her dance experience. The end of the year recital was a beautiful production and we can't wait for her next show! I grew up in some of the top rated dance studios in MA and I couldn't be happier to have my child have the same experience here in SC.
This dance company is by far the most dedicated ,talented group of students I have seen since I moved from New York many years ago.
The owners and staff are very organized , very welcoming and most knowledgeable of how a dance studio should be run.

I love this dance studio!!! My daughter started there about 3/4 years ago and with the help of the teachers and her dancing peers she has continue to flourished and gain confidence to blossom into the wonderful dancer that she is today! great staff, wonderful owner, wonderful teachers and my daughter loves loves loves the teachers and staff as well!!! If you want your child to grow to be a great, fantastic dancer, then this is where you'd want them to be!!!
We recently moved to the area and were looking for a dance studio for our daughter.. Magnolia dance academy has been amazing.. So welcoming and talented and our daughter looks forward to class every week..
I walked in and was going to ask about prices class times etc. I caught a person who I can only assume is the owner / teacher on the phone with her back to me and she didn t know I was there.
I had to cover my daughters ears so she wouldn t hear the vulgar and racially intolerant language coming out of her mouth.
As we walked out it sounded like she was talking moms of the kids in her class and it wasn t good.
Both of my girls have been a part of the magnolia family. The kids are taught in a safe and caring environment. Honestly it is like a family! Also, the numerous types classes offered made it the perfect choice. I have one daughter who just had fun doing one class and another who takes various classes learning as much as possible for her future hopes of career in dance.
This dance academy is my second home, and I have grown so much as a person and dancer since starting taking classes. I would not trade it for the universe. Everyone is so welcoming and nurturing and truly respect you as a person who wants to start studying dance seriously or for fun. I 1,000,000% recommend starting classes here to everyone and anyone. Every one is so diverse and I've developed friendships that I feel will last my lifetime.
