Magazzino Italian Art is a museum and research center located in Cold Spring, New York. Magazzino was founded by Nancy Olnick and Giorgio Spanu, two passionate collectors who have been collecting contemporary Italian art for over 20 years.
The museum's name, Magazzino, means "warehouse" in Italian. It reflects the founders' vision of creating a space where their extensive collection could be shared with the public. The building itself was designed by Spanish architect Miguel Quismondo, who worked closely with Olnick and Spanu to create a space that would showcase their collection while also providing an immersive experience for visitors.
