This place is great if you just stubbed your toe at PT or have the sniffles from a little cold. If you re having serious issues such as difficulty breathing, a wound that requires immediate care, or that darn chest pain that just won t go away, you might as well just die at home. I guarantee that the coroner will get your corpse a lot quicker than it takes for this place to see you.

Can't get appointments except 30 days out, then over booked so still can't see primary care Doctor. Don't bother trying to get prescriptions, should pay people by service met cause by the hour they do as little as possible.

By far, the worst hospital I've ever stepped foot in. I've been here a few times, and every single time I've had a bad experience. The first time I was here, June 7, 2016, I was rushed to the ER because I broke my tibia and fibula on a jump. The staff made me hobble/hop myself into the wheelchair. Then I sat around for hours giving the same answer "hit the ground, felt pain, felt foot hanging loose in my boot, took boot off to examine, leg was the size of a watermelon" to various different 'doctors' and nurses. After that, they told me my ankle was just sprained and I'll be fine, without doing xrays or feeling my leg. It wasn't until the medic that came with me had to fight with them until I could get xrays. Two hours later they come back and sheepishly tell me the diagnosis. After that, they told me they won't do surgery for a week. They gave me enough painkillers to last for 3 days, and told me to come to the ER to get more. When I did that, it took 5 hours of sitting in the ER to even talk to one doctor, who accused me of being addicted. 8 hours later I finally got more painkillers. Came back a week after the accident, I was told to come back three days later for surgery. When I finally got surgery, they wouldn't give me any medication for the pain, told me to wait until I left. Kicked me out not even 24 hours after having surgery. Fast forward a few months, the pain where some parts of the hardware was, was not going away at all. A year after having the first surgery, I had to get another one to remove some of the hardware that was placed improperly. They made me leave as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia. Now today I had to drive a buddy to the ER, as he was gushing blood from his finger (his white bathroom sink/floor looked like someone spray painted it red) 4 hours later the doctors have only called back two people, but I can hear staff in the back talking and joking around. All I can really say about this hospital is that they don't care how bad you are hurt, if you cut into their free time, they'll make you wait and suffer. It doesn't matter if their is one other person, or 100. They get paid by the hour, nor the quality of their work. So they'll make you wait.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Maybe its just the ER that is the issue here as I have heard some good things and read some good reviews on here. But the ER is terrible. My wife and I came into the ER for a dental surgery gone bad and the doctor "didn't see any infection"(two days later a REAL doctor would have to re-open this wound and re-pack the wound due to the severe amount of infection) and had terrible bedside manner. He truly didn't know anything about dental which is understandable considering we weren't at the dentist but to be rude is not. I feel that this medical staff should probably be better trained at dealing with patients that are slightly anxious, or emotional just because of the basis that a lot of military personal are just by the nature of their jobs and what they've been through, anxious and emotional. Instead the staff is just extra short, sarcastic and just plain rude. Nothing worse than on top of being in so much pain you're in tears and having a doctor be rude to you. I do not recommend anyone go to this ER if they want REAL genuine care. Better off paying out of pocket and going somewhere else.

The new Genesis system is terrible, updates irregularly? I had lab results that said were pending for days, but they called me with the results. The mobile version is overly simple to the point of being complicated. Navigation and pages aren't where you would expect them to be, so in order to check your referrals or lab results, you'll need 15+ minutes to be able to get your bearings. Just avoid it all together it doesn't work properly and it wont list you any options other than event history, which is always empty. The staff at the Hospital are extremely unprofessional and would rather spend their time socializing than doing their job. They will give you attitude if you remind them that they need to be mindful and respectful of the people around them. I feel like it comes down to poor leadership who are afraid to correct their habits or the leadership have the habit themselves since working along side civilians. Growing up I valued treatment at military bases ( was a military brat from 5 yo, then joined the Marines, and am now alongside my Wife who is still serving for the Army ) and honestly Madigan is the one that turned me Away. Not even mentioning the fact the Puget Sound Appointment line employees are just as unhelpful and act like DMV workers, nosey, impatient, and like you're there only to annoy them and ask dumb questions.

Worst place to go on earth is the Madigan pharmacy.... but other than that ER is a joke... there favorite diagnosis is "I don't know"... you are showing symptoms of the allergic reaction to your meds but your blood is responding well to the medication so I don't know.. all we can do is monitor you... I have been in an out of ER due to my symptoms and won't do anything other then blood tests and vitals...

On top of that as far a doctor appts. They literally care nothing about the patient just more worried about getting u out of there.. I went in to check out the same rash that looking like an allergic reaction to my meds along with tightened chest, hard to breath, and other symptoms... for the rash they prescribed me scabies cream!!!!
