This place never seems to be open. Might be a good restaurant, but have tried twice coming during the hours and days their website says they are open just to find a note on the door stating they are closed.

So good! I was hungry on a rainy Thursday and was in the Salem, NH area. Craving a sandwhich, I googled "sandwiches Salem, Nh" and Maddie's came up. Never heard of it before but decided to give it a try and what a good idea! Delicious food, nice staff, and warming atmosphere. I highly recommend!

Love this place!! Great bagels, great sandwiches. The breakfast dishes are exceptional as well. Only complaint is that everyone else loves it too, so its busy all the time. Not a terrible downfall if you ask me!

Love the staff and the food. It is not huge so if you are a late riser be ready to wait for a table.

We had such a nice lunch here. Place is very cozy with a warm and welcoming staff. Waitress was so nice and service was quick. The place reminds me of a quaint little New Zealand cafe with small tables that were just right. Will definitely be back.

Good place left for the tourists mass holes go to Sammy Jay's. They have huge lines that are unnecessary so don't sammy jays but this place isn't worth waiting for. The food is bland and below average I can do better. The service is poor and they forget you or don't come back to you until its time to get the bill.

This place has great food. I love the self serve coffee when you first walk in with many flavors. There is a good amount of room in the dining room. The staff is great and the food comes out fast, fresh, and hot. The prices are reasonable for the portions. Overall this is a very good place to have breakfast. I have not eaten lunch here. We got 1 chocolate chip pancake which was amazing, 2 scrambled eggs with homefries, bacon and wheat toast. We also got a bagel which was excellent, and a orange juice which was very fresh. There is usually plenty of parking and it is easy to get too just 5 mins from route 93 on route 28 in Salem, NH.

Great food and great service! Sometimes there is a long wait on the weekends but it's well worth it. The food is always fresh.

Maddie's is where Salem Locals go. It is fabulous food and the early-bird specials are better than making food at home!

They offer some prettysolid vegetarian options for lunch.

SUPER-FRIENDLY Authentically caring Staff. This place is a well-oiled machine. If you are in Salem for shopping, this place will get you in and out fast and you re on your way. Food is clean and good, still extremely standard Americana menu items. Again, the Staff make this place. Highly experienced waitresses. Four stars instead of five because the baked beans truly suck...not even a GOOD canned brand. Dude- it s beans. Spend some money.

The food is great! There s always a wait, which is fine because they offer free coffee while you wait! Doesn t get much better than that! My only complaint is that I felt like I was being rushed both times I went there.

One of the best breakfst place on my list, and they are the favorite for my family. Frendly, Clean, Quick and Fresh. It's been over 4 years since the first visit for us, and the amazing part is how they've been keeping the high standard of food and service always. Out of the many visits in the past, there were no disappointments and no bad experiences. I respect the efforts that the owners and the employees make everyday to keep Maddies such a nice place as ''wants to go back again''.

My wife and I found this delightful place on Yelp! and we are so glad we did. Sunday morning was busy, but when the greeter smiles, welcomes you in and then offers you a selection of coffee - a 20-minute wait is not so bad.
We waited a bit, but the place was clean and inviting so it didn't bother us one bit.
Ultimately we sat and the counter and ordered based on the recommendation of the waitress: Cinnamon Roll French Toast and Sweet Spuds. Both plates were dynamite - so good that we split them. And our total bill was just over $20. Perfect Sunday breakfast.
We will most certainly be back. Especially since it's so close to I-93.

Having lunch here was like finding treasure. We were greeted by several friendly people and say right away. We both had salads, and they really hot the spot. That also came with little warm rolls that were very yummy. We have been looking for a place with a little cafe feel and I think we finally found it. We will definitely go here again.

Visiting Salem to see old friends. I was told that I must go to Maddie s for breakfast. They weren t kidding. I had 4 dishes and ate 1/2 of each. From the coffee to the waitress to the food, everything was great. If it s packed on a Sunday morning , get a coffee and sit down, it s worth the wait

I just came back from breakfast here. We got there and there was a decent sized wait (because the food is amazing!). But during the wait we were offered coffee so how could we even complain??? The owner is so friendly, the staff is attentive and the food is absolutely cooked with love.

Good food and price selection... was catching up with friend haven t seen a long time... would of been 5 stars but I feel like we were being rush and the check was given fast... I ask why they r rushing ... there is a 1 hour limit or something like that.

Love this quaint breakfast spot. Get there early on weekends or expect a wait. Location is good right on main road and across the street from rail trail entry point.

It used to be great but lately there are taking their success for granted and their food isn't what it used to be. Taking shortcuts and using boxed and canned stuff isn't going to cut it at a breakfast place.

Used to be one of our favorite local places, however the last 2 times we went it was closed during business hours. No sign on the door, no message on the phone. Basically giving up on going here again as it is never open when it is supposed to be.

There were many yummy options on the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. Long wait, but they seem to move through tables quickly-probably why we felt a little rushed once at our table.
