The experiences of the exhibits vary as much as time runs out. Great for visiting by elementary or lower grades
The experiences of the exhibits vary as much as time runs out. Great for visiting by elementary or lower grades
There is a shuttle bus to the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal. It is about 10 minutes by car to the Babylon Hotel.
More interesting than imagined, there are 14 labs that can be played after the left money enters the left gate. I have 2 open without a day.
The same laboratory has the same theme, which is very suitable for a big family to play, you can kill it. Zhong Youyi has the same program as the Planetarium, but after entering the left gate, he can go out and go to the program to re-enter it.
Zhong has a children's world dedicated to children and a science museum. The fee is only 10 yuan, which can be spent for a few hours.
It s worthwhile to go to the past, but adults may feel depressed, and the facilities are mainly for the left child.
Definitely suitable for taking children to experience and play
Great place for kids to learn.
Last week for the 1001 Inventions Exhibition in Macau.
A diverse array of exhibits suitable for primary and secondary school children.
A fun way for all to learn about our Muslim heritage.
Fun, better than a lot of the Hong Kong Science Museum and Space Museum
A great science museum with a very reasonable price. There is also a McDonald's there which is very convenient. There are also shuttle buses at certain times to take you to the ferry pier nearby. There are about 15 showrooms and each has different topics. Some are about trains, space, DNA and much much more. A great place to take your kids to and have a day of fun.
A place that combines entertainment, knowledge, fun and dining in a beautiful environment
An excellent place to spend an afternoon for those under 12. The Macau Science museum is a place for action. My daughter loves room #4 which has a large pool showing cases of water flow.
A lot of good exhibitions. However, a ticket can only be entered once.
It is also possible to have special exhibitions and regular exhibitions. The regular exhibitions have been updated for a long time, and people feel unwilling to go. It is also very good overall.
The attractions with children are very worthwhile to visit. The displays inside are all interactive!
Excellent place for kiddos, lots of hands on experience and well laid out. Fun yet a great learning opportunity. The place is set up into different genres of science with all the basics taught in a fun environment. Well worth the visit, transport to and from the Science Center can be a bit of a hassle, may have to wait for taxi for 15 - 20 minutes due to lack of taxi. Not much food options there, just a McDonald's and a cafe.
It is suitable for a family to have fun all day, and it is also a good choice if it is a group of friends.
You can't help but be impressed with your visit to the Macau Science Centre which includes the five floor exhibition center (MOP50) area as well a planetarium which features 2D (MOP50) and 3D (MOP65) programs throughout the day. This is a great place for families, especially younger children, to spend time in Macau. There is much to experience (and try) at the Science Center, a place you can easily find yourself entertained for several hours.
What to see in the Exhibition Center:
The exhibition area is a Five floor, spiral-shaped building with 14 different exhibition rooms, each filled with modern, interactive and entertaining exhibits capable of entertaining children and adults alike. We particularly enjoyed the Space Science Room (ground floor), the Children's Science Gallery (first floor) which both offered lots of hands on exhibits. We also liked the Meteorology Gallery (second floor) and Robotic Gallery (second floor). The Robotic Gallery was particularly impressive with some highly advanced exhibits for visitors to try. Loved the rubix cube robot and the robot that danced for you. The Sports Health and Sports Challenge Galleries (third floor) included fun measuring devices - for hand strength, eye hand coordination, body balancing abilities and other physically challenging exercise and game exhibits. There was even a small basketball court found here. These were the top rooms in our view but all rooms were enjoyable to enter and visit.
There are also two special exhibitions at the Science Center at present. On the ground floor there is an exhibition area highlighting Macau's urbanization, land reclamation and land expansion plans. Then on the first floor there is an exhibit featuring Macau's future LRT system which is presently in development and scheduled to become available in 2015. These are worth a peek for those interested in what Macau looks like today and what it might be like in the future.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the planetarium but the programs looked promising, child-friendly and entertaining, something worth trying in addition to visiting the excellent exhibition area.
How to enter the museum:
There are two entrances you can choose from. First, there is the normal ground level entrance, from which you can work your way up the five floors of the exhibition center before reaching a nice viewing platform near the top. Here you can see the Macau Skyline before returning to the exhibition area, using the lift to return to the ground level to exit the exhibition center area.
Alternatively, from the ground floor you can go through a little cafe and take a long escalator immediately to the 5th floor viewing platform for the look at the Skyline. From there you can enter the exhibition area and simply work your way through the exhibition galleries in reverse. This is a good idea if you want to see the city views first.
Hint: There are free self-service locker facilities for visitors that can be found past the McDonalds next to a small children's playground area on the ground level.
Hint: Inside the Macau Science Center there is a McDonalds, a Cafe Corner (coffee and snacks) and even a small yoghurt shop for those who want a budget friendly meal while on site.
Overall, this is by far the best child and family friendly form of entertainment on offer in Macau. Even as curious adults, we quite enjoyed much of what we found at the Macau Science Museum. This is a modern, innovative and creatively designed attraction that the city of Macau should be proud of. It is well worth visiting when in Macau.
The content of the exhibition is rich and educational, and the architecture itself is Pei's masterpiece.
Children can spend a long time here, broaden their knowledge, and keep the place tidy.
Aurora Borealis movie is like being on the spot ....
It is a great place for kids. Lots of experiments and things that they can try and learn.
Although the place is large, most of the electronic instructions entered can not be operated, please add more maintenance.
Very teaching nature, suitable for a family to visit
Macau is the most worthwhile place to bring children to play, you can learn new knowledge.
Place is not like what is shown in the image, it's under renovation and covered with blue sheet tirpaul. Place is mainly for kids & children.
Many fun projects, adults and children are suitable,
The building was designed by Bezin Ming.
Exhibition Center and Conference Center
Macau Science Museum night view
Planetarium and podium
The Planetarium is a distinctive functional area of the Science Museum. The main structure consists of a cylindrical and hemispherical roof with a diameter of 19.35 m (63 ft). The first floor of the pavilion is a semi-circular electric equipment room, and the second floor is a multi-functional ring screen theater. The ball screen theater's world-class projection equipment, tilted hemispherical screen is about 15 meters (49 feet) in diameter, and can display high-resolution 3D digital movies. The theater has 135 seats, each with buttons for interactive control. "The Natural Selection", "Sun Storm", "The Space of the Courage", "The Romance of the Universe" and "The Planet" are the permanent programs of the theater. The first three are three-dimensional programs. The podium is an auxiliary building of the Science Museum. It consists of shops, cafes, ticket offices, office halls, etc. It has a walkway with the exhibition center, the planetarium, the multi-purpose hall and the outdoor escalator. The awning at the entrance to the main entrance of the podium is made of steel and has a double umbrella shape with a glass curtain wall as the top cover.
Buying a fly into the room. The celestial hall is almost rubbish, and the picture quality is poor. Admission is not recommended.
If you have children, be sure to stay here all day!
This science museum is very good, children have the opportunity to learn interactively, and adults also promote a lot of knowledge from them, and try their best!
Neat and spacious science centre to bring kids spending few hours. Parking available. Decent cafes. Clean washroom.
Many game areas are perfect for children to visit, and plenty of time is reserved. The restaurant is outside the ticket gate of the venue and it is recommended to enter the market after eating. The fee-based gaming facilities are also outside the gate and there are age limits.
Neri is a scientifically complete design for children, perfect for families and children.
It was a great place one year ago. But this time, many exhibits are broken. Won't plan to go there again in near future unless they improve the maintenance.
The place is large and there are many exhibition halls. Learn scientific knowledge in the game. Adults and children are suitable.
Facilities are dilapidated. The instructions are not clear. Many facilities were damaged and not maintained
Half the exhibits were broken or not working. It is mainly for kids. Gift shop is not very good. Staff were helpful. Planetarium was hard to find, but enjoyable once I got to the correct floor.
Bring children to a good place, all devices have multiple languages, but some electronic devices have quite a few faults.
Really suitable for school-age children to play all day
There are a variety of sections and exhibits. Much better than the Hong Kong Science Museum.
Terrible attitudes from their staff, tired to look for my kids in the 2nd floor play area but was rudely rejected by their security guard and their female staff by he entrance.
It is suitable for adults and children to play with a lot of interactive games.
Unfortunately, only the first floor have toilets.
Locker for free use, which is very good.
It s a big place, it s so crowded. The children s playground is fun and has height restrictions.
It is very worthwhile to pay for the visit, the building is multi-storey, the theme of each floor is different, and there are a lot of interactive games. The adults are all playing in the rock, and there is a lot of knowledge to learn, so that you can spend the whole afternoon! The exterior is currently undergoing renovations but does not affect internal operations.
Children have a lot of wild play, a good place to take a holiday
Science is sufficient, children's playground (paid) is fun and exciting, but some facilities are old and damaged and have not been repaired
There are absolutely surprises. I originally planned to use 2 hours to visit. After lunch, I will continue my trip. As a result, I have not been able to fully visit the sun when I have buried lunch. In addition, there are many facilities for interaction. It is very learning and entertaining. It is suitable for a family. Going through most of the day
I have never visited a friend, sincerely recommend
It is located not too far from Sands Macau. You can take any shuttle bus to get to the Sands and walk from there. Currently this place is under construction but most show rooms are open. I went to this Science museum last week with my friend's and my kids which were 7 to 11 years old. I didn't expect that much before the visit but it was so entertaining to our kids. There loved to see the displays and do experiments things for hours. It was, in my personal opinion, much better and bigger than the science center of Hong Kong. If you plan to spend some times in Macau with kids, I strongly recommend this place. You can spend a half day easily.
interesting but had some construction going on. battled to get public transport and walked to Macau tower
Many facilities are inoperable and a little disappointed
An interesting place for children to learn by doing.
There are children's worlds, movies to watch, adults and children can play all day long
The science visit is nice. full of fun stuff to do. It is worth the entry price. Do note. Ticket is for single entry only. No food and drinks allow inside. There are toilets after the gantry. There are only 2 eateries, one local cafe and macdonalds.
We did not visit the 3d show.. just the exhibition and the indoor play ground. The indoor playground is 10mop for 50mins.. it is very worth it too.
Too many sections of exhibition for photography.
