Super fun. Nothing like driving 6 miles out on a frozen lake and having a great trip!

wonderful service, good clean houses. someone in an earlier review said don't plan on catching fish, well we did plan on it and we did catch numerous well sized walleyes including 4 over 24". they set the house up in a good area, good structure and the rest is on you to catch them. I highly recommend these guys and will be making their place my new annual end of the season weekend trip.

Nice landing to drive out of to go ice fishing. They keep the roads well plowed and wide.

Mac's have a nice sheltered bay for the sailboater like me and if it's good for sailboats its good for everyone else. No sound of the noisy cars and trucks just the sound of wind and the splash of water lapping the shore. Great fantastic hospitable staff from the Da Boathouse its a classic rustic angler's restaurant and bar. The Friday Fish special and the Juicy Lucy are my all time favorites of mine.

We had a great time with Kevin when he guided us on Mille Lacs. My wife and I had 14 fish, seven each. Most of the fish where in the 22 - 26" range with two in the slot that we could keep. It as great to be able to talk to and learn from a Pro of Kevin's caliber. Thanks Kevin for the great memories.

The walleye season just ended but I want to say "THANK YOU" to Mac's Twin Bay for the great service. Always there to help whether it was one of the crew or Kevin himself. If you are looking for a place to fish, enjoy the lake, great food at the Boathouse, this is where I would tell you to go....

Great weekend trip! Our house was very nice and well taken care of, and we were put on a freshly plowed road on the fish. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will be coming back for sure!

I got a season pass this year for the first time. I couldn't be happier. The service and the knowledge are what will keep me coming back.

The sleeper houses are absolutely amazing and service is beyond fantastic. We're planning yet another trip this year because the quality of the amenities and the service from Mac's Twin Bay is phenomenal.

Kevin and Karen and there staff service is second to none. We have been doing a yearly trip for the past 14 years and never have they let us down. It's like family when we come up! I feel it's the personal touch of Kevin coming out to the fish house and checking to see how the fishing is going, if the house was clean or is there something we might need. The staff that services the fish house daily are always going out of there way to do a great job and are always friendly. Mac's shower house is also very clean. This is what makes Mac's twin Bay such a great experience. If your looking for a great couple of days of fishing on the ice, Mac's Twin bay is the place you want to be! G Votel, Maplewood mn.

Our family comes up from Texas to vacation the month of July in the cooler Mille Lacs weather and after eating here the other day we will definitely be back. I went in expecting frozen deep fried bar food but that was not the case, the food was so good! Taco Tuesday tacos, walleye fish sandwich and big onion rings, fresh and crisp salads, steak and loaded baked potato, spaghetti with homemade giant meatballs. Portions are big and we had to-go boxes!

Hats off to the ice crew. They did an excellent job getting us plowed and towed out where we were stranded on road L on Sunday. Great job guys!

Family! Friends! Fishing! What could have been better? We went to Macs for the first time and were very pleased. The ice houses were warm and very clean. Love the mattresses instead of foam pads. The staff was great! Friendly and very helpful with information. We did not catch keepers, but caught over a dozen fish. We will for sure look at returning in the future.

Lodging was good people were friendly but the ice fishing was horrible. We had 11 people for 72 hrs and only caught 1 fish out of the ice house. I know that you can't make them bite but after talking to the locals it sounded like the lake has been dead for 3 to 4 years due to over fishing.

Unfortunately my fishing did not go as well as expected however that is not their fault. Staff was super nice and helpful. They even made sure to stop I'm just to see how we were doing which was nice. Pricing for the ice houses was fair and would highly recommend

This is a review for the restaurant. The service was ridiculously slow, but the food was pretty good. A little overpriced though.

Great place for Walleye Fishing. Great Service. Nice people. Very helpful and knowledgeable guides. The shacks are clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is amazing!

Did a weekend rental with Macs 2 years in a row, 2018 and 2019. Both years we caught 0 fish in the house. It was also obvious the house had been on the same spot for weeks before we got there. Will be trying someone new next year.

Nice place and nice people. Don't expect yo catch any fish. Ice fishing was terrible.

The name of the restaurant is actually Da Boathouse -- we had spotted it on another trip to Lac Milacs about 3 weeks ago. This time we made a beeline for it for a late lunch -- pretty extensive menu, but the Walleye Fingers just sounded too good to ignore -- great choice -- enough to share along with the fries.
