Great historical pharmacy where You can see old cures and get to know something about pharmacists work.

Very attractive place must visit but should always have a guid otherwise won t be able to understand any thing. Must visit and explore the historic pharmacy museum know an important & interesting history of medicine which we use to take nowadays. For me it is very interesting to know all about those and I hope you will be too. They have all those antique items which were use in past.

Interesting exposition and small charming backyard inside.

Good variation from walking around the old town of Lviv. Tip for you - you buy the tickets in the real pharmacy, it was a bit misleading for us, as there are modern medicine on the counter and we though this may just be a pharmacy :) the museum is bigger than expected, there are a few floors. Overall it is worth to visit the museum.

The Under the Black Eagle Pharmacy opened in 1735, and is the oldest pharmacy still in business in the Ukraine.

Since the 1960s it has lifted the lid on its old laboratory, library, apothecary and 13 other rooms that date back almost 300 years.

The age of the building is clear as soon as you cross the threshold as the ceiling is painted with images evoking earth, water, fire and air, the body s four humors . On the tour you ll get to know the strange medicines prescribed for ailments centuries ago.

There s a big stash of historic lab equipment like presses, scales, stills and pestles and mortars, as well as cabinets laden with earthenware medicine jars and antique books going back to the 1700s.

One of the most interesting museums in Lviv. But only of you visit it with guide. Museum's dungeon (especially secret room of alchemist) is very impressive. Children liked this place too))

Amazing collection and a very nice building.
Details the long history of pharmacology in Lviv and in the region throughout almost the entire last millennia.
The exhibition is authentic and even dabs into the practice of alchemy.

Definitely place to see. Ticket 20UAH which is a joke. Inside working apothec and museum full of old apothecary equipment.

Interesting and informative tour of historic pharmacy with cool artifacts. I highly recommend the full tour with chemistry experiments and swearing into honorary pharmacists.
